What a lovely hidden gem in the heart of the city. It has easy pathways and a lovely waterfall, with a lake in the middle filled with ducks and swans, with a couple of interesting bridges to cross over on.

This is a large nature area in the middle of town. Well laid-out paths, lots of old trees, many labelled, lovely and very well-kept glasshouses/winter gardens. The children's playground was clearly popular and a lot of work must have gone in to designing and maintaining...More

Walked through Pukekura during the day with my Dad and his dog. The native trees are stunning and the park has a lovely atmosphere. Very relaxing.

I walk via the many pathways in the Park. Most people only stay on the main pathways. If you do many items can be missed. When the sun is down low the sunlight creates some interesting effects on the trees. Shafts of light and shadows....More

Womad will be there next weekend. We walked round the park and enjoyed it very much especially the fernery and display houses. Seemed to be lots of staff working and the connecting tunnels which were dug by hand require regular watering.
