We never pass up an opportunity to visit Rainbow springs & now they have the log flume its even better! A great place to take the kids to see some NZ wildlife close up. Don't forget to take a water bottle or two to enjoy the delicious spring water.

Fabulous place. Got a very warm welcome from the reception/cashier who was more than happy to tell us what was happening there today. Kids found the whole park interesting. We even saw a kiwi running around in the nocturnal house. Lucky us. The kids really enjoyed the log water ride. Couldn't get them off for anout 20 rides! Great that... More

Take the Kiwi Encounter tour if you can. It's about 45 mins tour where they explain and show you how they rescue, feed and hatch the kiwis. The trout pounds is nice to enjoy. Spend about 1.5 hours is more than enough in this park.

Our kiwi tour guide was SUPER knowledgeable and patiently answered all our questions about the kiwi bird and related items. I really wish I could remember her name, but she was awesome!

Came here on our honeymoon and our local friends. We were blown away by the quality of the grounds. The animals are well displayed and a real delight. The highlight for sure the tacky yet hilarious log flume ride which is included in admission!

A great place to see some of NZ's bird life up close and personal. Definitely come back after dark for the kiwi.

It was great to see the kiwis here! The kiwi exhibit is also very informative. The tuataras are also really neat, and we enjoyed the mischevious kaka parrots. However, the entrance fee here was REALLY spendy for the small size of this nature park. The ticket gives you admission for a whole week...so if you want to visit repeatedly, especially... More

The aviaries in Rainbow Springs are nice and large which is refreshing for a bird park. But the park is quite small, you can do the whole thing in an hour and a half. The day time kiwi space is small and half was empty when we went. We were lucky enough to see a kiwi but I can imagine... More
