An amazing evening from start to finish with a very friendly and fun host (Aroha). All the hosts of the village were extremely friendly, knowledegable and approachable. We had a very insightful view into the Maori culture and an enjoyable evening. The whole evening was very interactive starting with and ending with the bus journey to the village. There was... More

Definitely worth the price paid, from the start of the tour to the activities shown, to the buffet dinner. Impressed with it, and their pride for their culture! Highly recommended!

It blows my mind that anyone could rate this experience below 5! What an incredible night. From the incredibly entertaining bus driver (Dennis) to the wonderful entertainment and the beautiful tribe members - this was our favourite experience of our three week NZ road trip. The people of the Tamaki tribe are such a beautiful bunch of people and made... More

The Maori people are so friendly and inviting, the time I visited was years ago, but i just got a trip advisor account and was thinking back on vacations and places I have visited. The performance, the set up the food. All of it was very exciting and very cool to see. At the time I have like a disposable... More

Awesome place where you can learn about the Maori culture and witness some traditional activities the Maori had. Their ancestors from many many moons ago would definitely be proud. ☺

I spent a lot of time comparing Tamaki, Te Puia, and Whakarewarewa. I heard Tamaki was the most educational, so I went with that one because I was really interested in learning about Maori culture (Te Puia seems to have less of an emphasis on learning the culture, just from my perspective). It was raining pretty hard when we were... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this evening! True family entertainment. Our coach driver and guide ,Wallace, really made the evening. He had the whole coach joining in on the way there and also on the way back. The whole village pull together to show their skills and heritage. The only negative is the buffet felt a bit rushed being one of the last... More
