Thoroughly enjoyed this evening! True family entertainment. Our coach driver and guide ,Wallace, really made the evening. He had the whole coach joining in on the way there and also on the way back. The whole village pull together to show their skills and heritage. The only negative is the buffet felt a bit rushed being one of the last... More

We had a great time, we booked it online and we were picked up right in front of the hotel. You first get a proper Maori greeting and then move on to about 5 setting of traditions done by the Maori people (it started pouring so I don't know If we missed more). Then you go to the hut were... More

My wife and I wanted a bit of a cultural experience. Tamaki Village was a great way to learn about the Maori lifestyle and see their culture in action. The dinner was also fantastic, like a Thanksgiving feast! Definitely recommended.

Very instructive, and fun. Meal was also very good. A must to understand the native culture. Price is reasonable, and they pick you up at your hotel. I was picked to be a Maori Chief....fantastic!

We did the evening tour with the hangi buffet at the end and it was absolutely amazing. The people depicted their world so raw and it was unbelievable to get an insight in to their way of life back then. All the food was delicious!

This was a great experience! We were picked up from our hotel. The bus driver was entertaining and provided us with some information on Maori culture. When we arrived at the village, we were given a Maori greeting/dance. We then entered the village where we passed through various interactive stations. Everyone went into a large room where there was a... More

As the website states, a 3.5 hour experience of tradition, interaction, education, entertainment, and feasting :) Definitely not to be missed, and it was surely one of the many highlights of our trip. I don't want to give anything away, but do want to share the following from our visit in January 2016: - As we drove to Rotorua via... More
