In awe of this natural haven, watching the crystal clear water winding through the ferns and redwood trees . It was quite overwhelmingly beautiful. Some of the trees where just huge and towered above the forest floor. The tracks are well marked and graded well . Strictly no smoking rules apply within the forest to try and protect from bush fires,... More

Lovely walks, moderate in difficulty between giant redwood trees, really fantastic and enjoyable. There is a tree walk which looks good but is rather expensive at $ 15/person. They would do better to make it cheaper and more will use it.

It's not cheap ($25 pp) but was really a treat. The walk takes about 40+ minutes and is a first class operation. You walk between platforms on swing type wooden bridges. Each platform has information on the redwoods. We were there fairly early in the morning and had the walk to ourselves so we did not worry about people behind... More

Wonderful redwood. It can grow up to 100m. The tallest there is 50m and they are nearly 100 years old.

A favourite place to take visitors to experience a walk among the 100+ year old redwoods. There is a good souvenir shop, information centre, and a caravan supplying very good coffee.

When my wife and I were exploring New Zealand, we had an unplanned day so we decided to walk in the forest. It was a little overcast and rainy, but it was still a fantastic walk. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and got quite a few good photos out of the deal. Definitely worth stopping in and checking out.
