We decided to do this rafting adventure the night before and waited until the morning to book. They were so accommodating and took us out that same morning! It was group of 4 of us that went out with 6 crew members, it felt like a private tour! The staff is great and so much fun! Some of the folks... More

What better way to see some of NZ's beauty than to actively raft through it! 40 minutes of thrills, spills, fun and laughter.... and gorgeous scenery! We were expected to help paddle the raft, the instructions were clear, the equipment and gear appropriate and safety was taken seriously. A thrilling fun experience!

Heaps of fun, did the 7m waterfall. Don't need any experience, the blokes make it heaps of fun, just wish it went for longer. Would also be good to buy single photos afterwards instead of all of them for $50 which is a bit steep.

Rafting experience is not required, beginners are more than welcomed! The guides will make the trip easy to follow and a fun experience throughout. We were on our anniversary trip and the rafting experience was a highlight! We took the Kaituna river which apparently has the highest commercial waterfall drops! The guides were friendly and interactive, the commands were simple.... More

My tentative girlfriend and excited self went White Water rafting for the first time with River Rats. We managed to book on last minute and were put on a boat with a family of 4 (plus guide). I can't remember the guide's name, might have been Jesper, a Scandinavian chap. He was great, giving clear instructions (without it feeling like... More

My husband was very keen to try rafting, whereas I was quite nervous about the whole experience. Pipa, our guide, was amazing and made me feel comfortable from the start of the trip. Her enthusiasm and passion for the river and its spiritual connections made the journey so much more interesting and special. She was aware of my nerves throughout... More

If you're looking for the perfect gift to create amazing memories, this is it! I booked the Kaituna river experience for 5 young adults I was lucky enough to travel around New Zealand with during December. I made this a surprise Christmas present for my children 14 & 18 yrs and 3 of their friends. Whilst excited by the idea... More

White water rafting is an absolute blast. I had an amazing time.. Although I would say if you aren't confident around water or aren't a strong swimmer don't go. We came out of the raft and it was terrifying. The rapids are strong. BUT it was easily one of the most amazing and fun things I've ever done! It's well... More

From start to finish this was a GREAT trip. We had a ton of fun with Cory out on the water, and we laughed the entire trip. Everyone was awesome, and I would totally recommend this trip to anyone visiting NZ!

Went with a little trepidation since it was grade 5 rapids. The instructor Neville was most reassuring and I always felt safe even when sitting right in front of the raft. Since the rapids were of the highest commercially legal grade, we were taught a few more maneuvers compared to other rapids I've rafted on. There were also a few... More
