An accessible and relatively easy walking course. I play it every second year and never fail to be stunned by its beauty. The back nine offers the player some of the best views in the world. And the holes are pretty amazing to play too.
Not in the same league as Carrington and Kauri Cliffs when it comes to price, but worth evey minute spent on it.

This course is certainly a beautiful course. The views are stunning. Couse is very rolling and needs a good level of fitness if walking it. Close to the Treaty grounds so you can here the performance. Great staff. Nice food after the round. The views though are awesome
Each round we played there was a cruise ship in the harbour so wife got some fantastic photos. The road goes through the golf course so there are several places for photo opportunities.

Definitely worth a game! A friendly welcome and a challenging course! It was really unfortunate that we played behind two groups of 4 men - members - who did not want to let us through. It was a long wait at each tee, and luckily another guest joined us for the back nine - but still had to wait for each shot. The weather was not so great, misty and a bit of rain every now and then, but despite this, the views are spectacular.

We stayed for 2 weeks in Paihia and thought we give it a go to play Waitangi. What can I say. Very good decision! Beautiful course in lovely condition, our rental clubs were fine too and prices absolutely reasonable. The pro shop staff is extremely helpful and we had a great and relaxed time. Needless to say we came back to play a 2nd time but unfortunately there is only 1 bad thing. It rained on the 3rd day when we wanted to come back. ;)
P.S. Thanks for the left handed sand wedge and putter :)

Helpful staff and friendly members - both more than willing to go out of their way to offer advice and help. The course was in reasonable condition for mid summer with some interesting holes - the back nine is particularly notable for its views over the bay. We enjoyed it so much we went back the following day and played again!

We were picked up at the cruise terminal and taken to the course by shuttle (no charge) by lovely Jodie. She advised us if no one was available to get us back to Paihia to phone her and she would pick us up. We were warmly welcomed to the club by Alex and he organised hire clubs and a cart. We began our game and impressed by the condition of the course and greens. Nice little surprises all the way, especially the 11th hole!! A trap for the unwary!!
The back nine is a photographers dream. We found it difficult to concentrate on the game!! The course has its challenges but it all adds to element of surprise when you don't know what's over the next rise!! We enjoyed a light lunch in the club house and a ride was arranged back to town with Merle, the club secretary, who delivered us right to the library for our Wi-Fi connection. Thank you Merle!! Really appreciated you giving us your time.
This course is a must for any level of golfer and a very enjoyable day, and was one of the highlights of our NZ holiday.

Lovely round of golf on very well maintained course with spectacular views - especially on the back 9's. Not too difficult but not too easy either. Hire equipment of a very high standard. A bit pricy for green fee + hire but probably OK because of such a high standard.

What a magnificent golf course with fantastic views on the back nine holes
The day I played it was very hot and sunny. The greens ran true but we're very fast.
Off the fairway into the rough it certainly made it hard to get to the greens in regulation!!
The day I played I had hired clubs and found the whole experience brilliant.
I would certainly play the course on my next visit

We played the back 9 on a clear sunny day in October. The views across the Bay of Islands towards Russell were extraordinary. What an amazing backdrop for a game of golf! The course is beautifully well maintained, greens were in very good condition and each hole 10-18 was a enjoyable challenge for 18+ handicappers like us. The setting is stunning and that alone makes it a worthwhile course to play. The course has good variations of height, interesting dog-leg holes and one or two well placed bunkers but nothing too hard. The pro-shop was friendly and very well stocked. We didn't visit the clubhouse but it looked well set up and comfortable. Club hire and green fees affordable but not cheap.
