What needs to be said? - superb location in the scenic Bay of Islands, everything you need is there - accommodation, good food, good transport links, dolphin watching, ferries to Russell, adjacent to Waitangi, gateway to Northland and so on.

Just a beautiful clean harbour to just look at from the road or beach, or explore by ferry and any other way you want to pay for!

So charming and I could see this would be "the place to be" in the warmer summer months. I would love to come back to visit.

Lovely place to visit, the boats leave for the dolphin cruises from here also the ferry to Russell Island (which is a must) Good little supermarket in the main street, and some very good restaurants and takeaway food places. nice place to unwind before travelling on.

A hikers dream! We enjoyed a different and quite challenging hike every day over six days all within 20 minutes of the Paihia town. We sandwiched them between fabulous lunches and vineyards!
