Oasis in the middle of the CBD.
Jul 2021
If you are wanting a quiet place to eat your lunch in the middle of the CBD, this is one of those places. Interesting history. The farmers market is here on Saturday. Otherwise nothing of outstanding interest.

Great Farmers Market on a Saturday
Apr 2021
We went to the Farmers Market on Saturday morning and it was a fabulous setting and well attended. The park has plenty of seating and lovely green areas for putting down a rug to enjoy the wonderful treats from the market.

Clive Square is a pretty garden shaded by trees. A set of bells plays at certain times during the day. Great spot for picnic lunch

Worth a visit, to hear the bells and see some colour and greenery.

Beautiful park not far from the town centre, well kept and presented, colourful flower beds and stunning trees. Take a picnic and soak up the ambience. I came across it by accident, wondered through and then the charming bells played 5 songs, what a treat and I recognised them alI. I was in awe of such a beautiful feature these days, it is stunning. and the city is lucky to have such a unique feature.

Tidy Gardens
Jul 2020
Noticed it at night when we walked past and the lights were constantly changing colours. I came back again after heading to the Urban Farmers Market on the street beside it. It was really tidy with nicely kept paths and walkways. The palm trees were also quite large and gave it a tropical feel, even though it was cold and raining. There is a fountain in the middle which actually looked quite nice as the lower level was almost waist height. The most interesting thing in the park was the giant harp looking sculpture. This is a carillon and it actually plays every half hour from 1130. There is also another interesting fountain on the other entrance of the park.
It was quite a nice park to walk around even though it is a bit small. It would be a nice place to stop with some food on a nice day.

Yummy produce to tryand buy, and good music - a teaser for the main market at Hastings on Sundays. Gardens here are pretty with waterlilly pond.

Nice little park to chill in, and they had free WiFi so it was nice to be able to get your bearings and read a map there.
