We spent several hours here. Left for lunch and then came back. This is as good as Kelly Tarlton's in Auckland. The turtle exhibit was especially impressive. We watched fish feeding and shark feeding. The commentary wasn't very informative but the displays were.

The Aquarium is a fun activity for both young and older children. Went with my 4 and 16 year olds and we all had a great time. The daily talks for the reef fish, sharks and little blue penguins centre around their feeding are fun and informative. My daughter was particularly pleased she found both Nemo and Dory fish!

Four of our party in their early 20s went swimming with the Sharks and absolutely loved this experience although the water was very very very cold! Would be nice if they were able to have a quick warm shower to rinse off and warm up but there were none available. Other than that it was something they will always remember.... More

Family school holiday fun. Kiwi enclosure was a cool surprise. Penguins were cool. Fish feeding at 2pm was the highlight.

Nice and well kept aquarium. Sharks, turtles, lizards, frogs etc. A nice little cafe and a gift shop. Very tidy and children friendly with a funny fish feeding show. :)

We have been here a few times, always an interesting place to visit. All children seem to enjoy it very much. Good information given.

A lovely smaller aquarium, with kiwi display too which was a bonus. Beautiful fish and large viewable areas. Prices much better than other aquariums. A definite awesome find on this trip.

We did the close encounter with the sharks. It was awesome and they let us stay in longer than the 30 minute max. We also showed up a little late and it was no problem. Since we missed the close encounter with the blue penguins, the wonderful lady let us sneak in the back and have time with one penguin... More

A quaint aquarium - with friendly staff and keepers. We were pleased with the Penguin Feeding and accompanying talk and the under water travelator was a hit! Was a fun morning in Napier

We had a lovely afternoon walking around looking at all the fish and exhibits. The highlight for us was the feeding of the wee penquins, just to watch them swimming around and going for the food from the attendants was wonderful. Only downside was when we had finished we thought a coffee would be nice only to find they had... More

Our penguin feedings are popular and a great way to see these fascinating creatures. Penguin feeding sessions are held at 9.30am, 1.30pm or 3.30pm. Apologies that the Cafe was not open when you came by. The Cafe does close at 4pm daily for cleaning purposes before the Aquarium closes at 5pm. Thank you for you feedback More
