Excellant

This appears to be a small museum until you step inside. So much information presented in an infomative and hands on way. Excellant for all ages.

It is like walking into the Tardis.....looks small from the outside but has so much to offer and look at. Great if you enjoy technical, engineering, historical type equipment. Great friendly volunteers run the place.

Recommended by our evil step mother, this place redeemed her! Right from the entrance the museum encourages you to touch, play climb and make as much noise as you want!! Arriving early we had the place to ourselves, the kids went wild, Miss 11 played with everything, the electricity, windmills, pinball machines, motorbike, water pumps, shoe shine machine, you name... I really enjoyed visiting the Faraday centre. The entry fee is very reasonable. There are lots of cool old things to look at and there is lots of history.

My husband dragged me along to this as he is quite interested in old engines. I found the experience really interesting and the people who work there very knowledges and keen to share this knowledge. Great interactive displays. Worth a visit, we spent about two hours there!

What a fantastic place to visit. Volunteer staff are so knowledgable and dedicated. The age old equipment etc there is amazing and way beyond the depths of understanding for the young ones in this very technology focussed era.

I took 30 people from a retirment village and found it hard to get the men to leave they were so entrnched in observing machinery from last centrury. Plenty there for women to enjoy too but appealed to men immensely/

This is the hands on museum to beat all interactive ones! This place is just fun for the whole family. Our small family group covered the spectrum of generations and there was something for everyone to play with. Older folks will love the trip down memory lane and youngsters will be scrambling between exhibits to experience first hand how things... More

This place is magic. It starts with the people who run it - you can feel their enthusiasm and love for the place - and flows on to the multiple displays, working bits of machinery and general atmosphere. You just want to go home and start inventing after a visit. Only sad thing is - this place is hardly ever... More
