Steep climb

These gardens are on a very steep slope. It was a pleasant enough stroll if you're reasonably fit, but not actually a lot to see/

Napier was a welcome land adventure after being on our cruise ship for 4 days. Lots of history many things to see on the foreshore and even more once we bussed it into town. Art Deco guided tours if you want them, we went for a meander street sculptures food antique stores and Tiffen Park beautiful garden. Enjoyed the day.

If you are a visitor, Tiffen Park offers some nice views of the town and some exercise. If you are a local, it is a nice way of getting to the top of the hill on a hot day.

This park is on the side of a hill which makes for an interesting and gloomy climb up the side of the hill. It did not appeal to me but it may to you. If you were elderly, unfit or disabled in any way this is not the park for you. The dirt tracks will be slippery after weather and... More

It did seem to be a strange yet steep park on the side of a hill. Sadly we visited it on a grey and dismal day. However, on a sunny and clear day the views from different stages of the climb to the top and from the top of the park would be spectacular.

If you're into checking out every single park in a town, then of course you have to visit Tiffen Park! The entrance is right by the Municipal Theatre and probably the best part about the park is the gorgeous art deco entranceway framing it. Very pretty! The park itself is completely on a steep hillside, with little trails going parallel... More

Nice enough, but nor the view over the city that anyone would expect. I hope they don't cut down the trees but they get in the way !

Quite a steep but short climb above Tennyson St. Great views over a lot of Napier CBD and to the ocean. Worth the 10 minutes going each way. Hidden treasure

I passed though the pleasing entrance to this quaintly named park wondering if afternoon refreshment was on offer. No tiffen was available that I could see but a dog may well enjoy a zig-zag up or down the hill.
