Our children loved the science room; bendy mirrors, cogs, gardening, conveyor belts, giant lego building, race cars... We all had a great time here. Good rainy day activity. If your children like a quiet environment, it may be worth phoning ahead to check if any school groups will be visiting too. Also, a bit of shame that there is no... More

Wow! What an amazing exhibition for the kids. Miss 6 & miss 9 enjoyed this so much that they went back the following day & are asking when we get to visit Hamilton and the museum next! New Fonterra exibition and new Light and planet experience. Extra charges but well worth a visit. Perfect for small children to rush around but great for older children and adults.

Interesting place to visit rain or shine, to learn about New Zealand Culture. And certain times of the year they have set exhibitions. Good place to take children. Wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Small cost to enter exhibitions, and was a good coin donation last time we visited. Perfect for school holidays

Had some good displays and was a nice place to fill in some time on a rainy day. We only looked in the areas that were free, there were two other displays on at the time that were interactive and you could pay to see. Was interesting Bob Marley section that is there for a short period.

Visited here when they had the DaVinci exhibits & that was wonderful! It was incredible to learn just how much that man achieved in his lifetime. The rest of the museum was quite different - in a good way. There's an area for the kids to learn & it's just as fun for the adults as it is for the... More
