We went to GunsnRoses at Western Springs. A natural amphitheatre, it is ideal for concerts and Speedway.
It is easy to see from the high embankments which have permanent or temporary seating when necessary. For concerts you can get close up to the acts on the feat in field in front of the stage. Plenty of food and drink outlets.
Parking is difficult fr concerts s use public transport if possible.

We have attended several concerts at Western springs and the transport is bad. At other venues the lines are closer (not up a big hill several klms away) and there is no parking close by, so expect a walk no matter what.
Facilities in the park are minimal. Portable communal toilet areas so privacy is not likely. 0verallthe natural hill makes concerts pretty cool. It is just a hard place to get to and from.

Attended Six60, perfect venue to cater the 50,000 people. Lots of grass areas and easily accessible toilets. Great food and bar set ups. Wheelchair friendly too.

I thought that this was a pretty nice stadium. I especially like the tan for rugby training at the top of the hill although I'm not a huge fan of the new turf because I preferred the saw dust. Yeah that's about it pretty much.

Went for a Guns n Roses concert at Western Springs, got plenty of information by email in advance, very useful. The roads around the stadium were shut down on show day and they were running special buses from early evening onwards from the main Britomart train station. The buses were included in the concert ticket which was a great idea. There was a long line of people but it moved quickly with a seemingly endless line of buses loading up.

We were in the back standing area which is 10 minute walk up a very steep hill. Security checks were quick and efficient. No food or drink allowed in. I was allowed to keep my small binoculars and small pocket camera. The binoculars were especially useful because the stage is so far away.

Was a very sunny, windy day and there was plenty of beer flowing from the 'bar' and the merchandising stands were very crowded. Long lines for the porta-loos. There were limited food options inside - nothing at all for vegetarians.

The concert was great, visibility was good because its a naturally sloping hill but its pretty far away to the stage and the wind actually blew the sound around. The light show was more effective after dark.

Had to walk quite a bit after the show to where they had again arranged the endless buses to get everyone back to britomart. They were running late trains to make sure everyone got home which was great.
