    Nice Walk
The Wynyard Crossing, pedestrian bridge links the Britomart area of the waterfront with the Viaduct Basin to give a great walk all along the waterfront. There is a lot of road/building work at the moment along the Briromart/port area but once this is completed will increase the length of any walk. Lots of restaurants and bars on either side of the bridge and the whole area has a great atmosphere, at any time of day.

Pedestgian bridge linking Viaduct Harbour to Wynyard
Wynyard Crossing is a pedestrian and cyclists' bridge and was built in 2011. . It connects Wynyard Quarter with Te Wero Island and the existing Viaduct Harbour entertainment district. It was interesting watching the boats leave and return with the bridge opening to allow them to pass. this temporarily stops pedestrian from crossing.

    Hot day
Central hub for boats and and activity for the Prada Cup. Many years ago there was notging of interest to look at, but now a thriving area, with restaurants and places to see. The bridge when it opens up is worth a watch and dive into the water. We caught a private boat for a

We were in Auckland on quite a busy day with two or three cruise ships in, so this area was busy.
Both times we crossed the bridge we had to wait, as the bridge had been lifted to allow boats into or out of the harbour, which added to the experience

As we were approaching the bridge it started to lift, when it went down we started to cross, there were a group of boys jumping from it. A policeman told them it was a NO NO.

The bridge connects the Wydnyard area, a development that was once a tank farm with the older part of the Auckland wharf.. An interesting bridge that allows yachts into the Viaduct area.

Wynyard Crossing is a pedestrian bridge that crosses the Viaduct Basin. It provides a calm and relaxed way to cross from one side of the basin to the other, while providing a great view of Central Auckland on the one side and the outlet to the larger bay, on the other. Several marinas surround the basin and there is a fair amount of water traffic. The Crossing is also a good place for people watching.

The crossing connects the viaduct to the North Wharf area of the Wynyard Quarter. Quite a nice area to walk around since there are a few things to see and restaurants to eat at.
The bridge is a nice place to take photos towards the city and if you time it right you can see it go up as it lets boats through, out into the harbor.

The harbour area is a great place to walk around, enjoy an ice cream or meal, or just sit and watch the boat traffic. Occasionally you will see a tall boat pass and the bridge will lift.

Have visited Wynyard Quarter and crossed the Wynyard crossing several times. It's quite a busy area and a good place to relax and watch the boats as there is a few seats if you cross the bridge to Wynyard Quarter.

A short scenic bridge from the Viaduct/Britomart section of the wharf over to Wynyard Quarter where you can see classic yachts and silo park....interesting to see it operate when a large boat passes through
