I was wondering why they call their therapist "Spa angels". After 2 visits I found out why: you just feel like been in heaven during the treatment...
Had a great swim in the 20 m pool and a warm-up on the sauna before. All very good. But my therapist topped that with an exceptional massage. Relaxation but also triggered all my pains of my muscles.
I will be back again 4 sure

After a series of underwhelming experiences at my old fav day spa, I’ve been searching for a replacement and I think I have just found one.

Booking was easy, within a few hours of filling in the online booking form I got an email confirmation (as usual they do call you the day before to confirm again). Easy and hassle free. This was very positive already as the other spa always had issues with their online booking and needed a few phone calls and emails to just make a booking.

On the day, it got even better. I went in with my sister, we took a day off work before her birthday and we both got blown away. I had a 90-min Traveller's Revival massage and she had a Ataahua Body treatment. The therapists were so good, knowledgeable and friendly. I liked how the treatment rooms are on downstairs, separated from the rest of the facilities, making the experience more serene, exclusive and calming. Those hotel spas are usually part of the hotel’s gym and leisure facilities and treatment rooms can be located very close to the gym, sometimes right next to it, and you often hear weights being dropped on the floor during your treatment - not very relaxing! And I also don’t quite like crossing paths with gymgoers on my way to my treatment (i.e. wearing pretty much nothing under the robe). So this place was perfect for me.

The changing room and other spa facilities (sauna, steam room and spa) were spotless and well maintained. Loved the down blankets in the post-treatment relaxing rooms. Nice little touch that makes a difference.

Valet parking is included, makes the trip hassle free (most of hotel spas offer it these days though).

Overall, it was a great experience and am very glad that I found this place. I’m pretty hard to please and they did, very successfully.

Only (minor) comment is that I wish they had an electric blanket on the treatment bed. Admittedly this is totally personal, however, as I get cold easily and like being kept very warm (or hot for others). The therapist put on the wall heater to max for me but I still prefer having an electric blanket underneath.

Nice pool and facilities and friendly staff however something is missing from that ohh spaaaaaa experience.
Arrive ahead of the treatment and use the pool/ hot tub (communism) or sauna (in changing rooms).
Friendly although inexperienced staff from appearance.

Joined friends for a morning of relaxation and indulgence at So Spa. After our Sauna, Jacuzzi and swim each of us had an hour of pure relaxation and well deserved massages. We've vowed to do it more often!

I had booked the prenatal "cocoon massage" for my wife at the Sofitel So spa. The hotel and Spa staff were very warm and friendly. The spa lady made us feel at home in a heartbeat. The therapist was a pregnancy massage specialist and was very gentle and skilled. The cosmetics used were top notch and ambiance chic yet soothing.... We will visit again.
All in all thanks heaps So spa for pampering her senses.....So spa So Magnifique...Will visit again.!!

Just a recommendation though: It would be awesome if you could also offer a Post natal massage like a "massage de Postnatale" or something... :). It would really help in recovery I reckon.

I have been to the So Spa a couple of times and enjoy the spa and treatment side a lot more then the facilitie side. The sauna and steam room and the changing room its self is quite small but is always lovely and tidy offering all ammenities which is great the pool and spa area always seems quites steamy and humid in that room again it is quite small. Going down into the spa is a cool experience and feels as if your going down into a secret place and again has a lovely dim lighted atmosphere. The private bathing experience is lovely before having your massage treatment with the cables and the bubble bath I would go back just for that. The massage treatment was fantastic and the beds were very comfortable the therapist was well skilled and the relax room with the big comfy duvet and tea was a magnificent way to finish off. Overall the smallest of the hotel spas in Auckland I have visited even thought I don't care to much for the facilities here the spa experience keeps me going back for more.

I had an amazing facial here. What I loved about it apart from the experienced therapist, is that there was no comment on the state of my skin or no attempt to sell me products - two things that put me off having facials usually! My skin felt great and I loved the fruit/herbal tea offered afterwards in a relaxing room with reclining chairs and a water feature.

Booked treatments for me and my son
Firstly there is no spa relaxation lounge before treatments ; big disappointment for me .
Steam and sauna in bathrooms
Lap pool and jacuzzi outside with lots of noise
Treatments were ok
Paid $700 which is very pricey considering level of treatments received
Also they do not do extractions for facial
As per my therapist they don’t have tools for it . Very important when booking for facials.
