We attended a Handel Opera here. This is a great performance space but is still an operational place of worship. The stained glass is Pasifika modern woved into classic Gothic touches. These are really worth studying. The one towards the back on the left as you enter is my favourite. It has lots of different styles of kete/woven baskets worked into it.

In contrast to the rich wood interior of St. Mary’s, Holy Trinity Cathedral has two distinct parts. One is Gothic and the other is more contemporary. The large stained-glass window in the front of the church features a Polynesian theme with bright colored motifs. Its floor and ceiling are made of wood. The organ has 5,432 pipes. The Nave in the second part of the cathedral is similar to a traditional Māori meeting house. The design of this space can also be used as a community multi-purpose gathering place. More stained-glass windows are found along both sides of the Nave, depicting stories from the Old and New Testaments. Recommend a visit to both the Cathedral and the Church of St. Mary.

Thoroughly enjoyable visit. A beautiful modern structure with breathtakingly beautiful stained glass. They recently added a new organ, designed, built and installed by a UK firm. It is the largest pipe organ in New Zealand, the largest church organ in Australasia, and the largest organ to be built in the UK since the 1940s. Installation was completed in June 2017. It will be played by the best organists nationally and internationally, not only during service but also for concerts and recitals. The cathedral is definitely worth a visit.

We were fortunate to have a personal tour by the priest, and saw both the original church and the new cathedral, which combines neo-Gothic and modern architecture with wooden ceilings reminiscent of long boats. The stained-glass windows portray Maori, Polynesian and Christian tradition in a New Zealand setting.

I was invited to an interfaith gathering, and the spirits soared with the expressions of a genuine shared desire for peace and understanding.

I stumbled upon this glorious cathedral while on a stroll. The modern cathedral has sublime stained glass - the colors and messages are filled with diversity and integrity. The docent encouraged me to visit the old chapel next door - so glad I did. Stained glass featuring a suffragette? AMAZING! I loved Auckland and loved this place. If I lived here, I would stroll around and meditate here. The vibes are high. Gorge on the eye candy for a while. Breathe.

This cathedral is minimalistic in a way but it has
outstanding stained glass windows. I was in awe.
We did find a way to visit the old cathedral, but
this one was worth the visit.

Have been here several times for events and it is a lovely venue. It can be a bit cold, but just layer up. Parking can be a bit challenging, but there is parking down the back and on the surrounding streets.

This is one of my top recommendation of places to visit in Auckland if you are at all interested in sacred attractions. The stained glass here is outstanding and the view from the cathedral is also amazing. They were installing a new organ when we visited which is definitely another reason to visit if you can go during a service.

Though finishing up a major renovation, this is a wonderful place to worship. A newly installed pipe organ will add grandeur.
