Auckland does not have an extensive number of historical buildings. While not considered to be an amazing attraction in itself, it affords a great first impression of Auckland, with a great outlook that showcases the harbour, and wharf areas. The ferry building is a pivotal...More

You can't miss this building as it stands along on Quay Street and is by the Ferry terminals. An historical building in great condition and has plenty of lovely restaurant options including ones with outdoor patio options for watching it all go by.

Beautiful old building with a number of modern restaurants close to all the ferry terminals including Waiheke Island trips. Right "Downtown" and a hive of activity. Nice to just sit in the sun and relax and let the world pass by while sipping a nice...More

A great building to take a stroll around, have a coffee or meal at one of the various cafes and/or take a ferry ride from.

The ferry building is immediately adjacent the ferry terminals. It has obviously been lovingly restored. It contains a number of eating places which allow you to eat either inside out of the weather or outside overlooking the water

The Typically British old Post office building has served as a ferry terminal for years. Modern features were added, to imitate a large wave to harbour check-in gates. Absolutely efficient, considering the size of the wharf.

Most roads lead to the Ferry Building and rightly so , as there's a lot going on there. As well as access to the many ferries to Auckland Harbour, there are many interesting historical buildings and places to eat/drink.

Beautiful building right on the waterfront. Difficult to miss as it stands out due to its age. Beautifully preserved, despite its age.
