Paid NZ $45 per head for all day pass (9.45am to 4.45pm) for access to both Blue and Red Route with the interchange at the Museum. Considering Auckland is a major City there is little to see in terms of culture etc. The weather was miserable with low cloud and rain so hoping off was not an option. We did... More

We have taken hop on hop tours around the world and this was the worst. It was very expensive for what it was. It was impossible to hear what the driver was saying and his radio cutting in and out did not help. The blue route was a bit better as the driver was very friendly and informative.

When you first arrive doing the hop on hop off bus is an fast option to see the main areas of Auckland. Once you've done this its an easier decision of what you would like to return to and spend more time at. The top level of the bus is the best as it gives the best views.

Was in Auckland on the 14 January on Ovation of the Seas for the day. According to the companies website they add additional buses for cruise ship days so one presumed with being 2 ship in on the same day they would ensure plenty of capacity but no this was not the case. I got to the stop at 11ish... More

Great way to view a lot of things in the city all in one day! My wife and I had a great time with this in Decmeber 2016! *Tip: Make sure to buy tickets online in advance and use the Explorer Bus discount at some of the stops!*

If you have tried other tour buses around cities then you may be a bit disappointed. Auckland isn't that old and the sites are limited. I would not recommend staying on the bus for the whole trip because of this. The best way to get value is to get off and have a look around some of the attractions. As... More

We tried to purchase tickets from two different bus drivers and both gave us the lame excuse that they couldn't get a signal and could only take cash. One blamed it on Verizon's poor signal which, by the way, is the cell carrier I am using without any problem. Additionally, as one bus pulled away, the back of the bus... More

Good way to see the city and sights interesting to you. We used it for a day and hit both red and blue lines using the day pass. The pass got us discounts at the museum and sky tower. Narration Ok but not great.

We had been to Auckland several times before but had never made our way out of the CBD. This is a great way to get around and get a full perspective of what this beautiful city has to offer.
