A great camping site. The place is full of camping grounds and try to find one away from tourists. There is food, BBQ and all other options on the grounds.

Was lucky enough to get my own private tour with guide Sean...... What a beautiful afternoon of the most gorgeous sights, Piha Beach with its black, soft sand and then onto the Waitakere Ranges....... OMG, natural waterfalls, the most beautiful old forest with the oldest...More

Rough beaches, being on the west coast and all, but beautiful all the same and some great campsites out that way.

It's great anytime of year. Nice and cool in summer and in the wet weather the bush gives off a really special aroma. But have waterproof jackets and good walking shoes, because you will get everytning wet
