I use one tree hill to cycle as it provides a safer option than riding on the road in Auckland. The internal roads are very well maintained and smooth. The route around the park has up and down hill sections as well as flat and is around 2.5kms. Great for walking and running as well.

You can get a local bus in Auckland to take you up to One tree hill, great views after a stiff climb, but well worth the overall scenic vista of Auckland and the surrounding area ,plenty of historical values around this area and a great free place to visit ,

A must see spot to take in the whole of Auckland. I taxied up to top, wouldn't recommend the long walk except for very fit or young. The trip would have been better but I picked a cloudy day. I might go back later if it clears up, I'm sure the view could be much better.

Instead of going to the skytower and pay--- this is another option. Get a great view of Auckland and pay nothing. All natural view and even enjoy the breeze or wind. Parking is very handy and another option is park at Cornwall Park and walk up the top. A lot of things to see and do. Relax and enjoy the... More

This whole area is beyond belief. It has 360 degree views including all of Auckland. The founder owner gave this area of land to Auckland and everyone that came to visit and is supported by one of his trusts. He is also buried in a grave at the base of the pinnacle. This place is an absolute must to visit,... More

This got to be one of the best mountains to climb or drive your car to see the magnificent beauty of Auckland city, you can see Mt Eden, Mt mangere, Mt Wellington, and the beautiful Rangitoto Island from the back ground.

We googled it and the directions took us right there. We had a large van it fit but it was close. The views were great and only a few stairs to walk. There was no benches at the top. We stayed till sunset and got some great pictures. There were no hours posted so we were not sure when they... More

Getting there was a challenge as all roads were closed off. Locals helped us to get to the correct route which took us all the way up. Could see livestock along the way. On top the view was to die. Wish we had more time.

Sadly there is no longer a tree on one tree hill but the views are still amazing on a sunny day. Well worth the effort to take a drive and much less busy than the Mt eden summit

This is a great attraction for backpackers, those on a budget, photographers and people wanting to see Auckland city from above. The air is so clean and views are as far as the eye can see. The road going up is narrow and parking is limited so best to take it slow and be patient.
