Love the views here, peacefully tranquil, stunning backdrops in all directions, allows you to just relax and take moment Away from the fast pace of life, if Auckland has such a pace lol.

Spectacular view of the Auckland City and bay area. It is just a small hike from the foot of Mt. Eden. Easily accessible and has basic amenities. It is worth watching the sun go down from the top of the hill. A must visit for leisurely walk in spare time.

It's one of the places to go while in Auckland. A great place to see Auckland. Has a big crater from the eruption many moons ago, which you can walk around. Walking enthusiast s can can walk to the summit. A bit breezy all the time..but gives awesome views.

Only last week I walked to the top of Mt Eden for the first time despite having lived in Auckland for over 13 years. And I am glad I did. A quaint (and thankfully now foot/cycle traffic only) road leads to the summit and once there the views are spectacular. A little breezy but isn't that the point?

When in Auckland you must visit Mt Eden, it is a steady but easy walk to the top and well worth it, allow plenty of time as you will take masses of photos. After the walk down you will go onto Mt Eden village and reward your efforts in one of the many very good cafes before you browse the... More

This climb is one that you need to be a little fit for. The don't allow vehicles up to the top any longer (except mobility vehicles) so you can walk in the road that is going up if you want. The views from the top are amazing. It is someplace that I would highly recommend especially if you can do... More

If you want to view how beautiful and massive Auckland city is, this is a must visit place. Such a great view...and definitely nicely maintained. Mt. Eden is an inactive volcano site, so you can see the beautiful crater also :-)
