We were staying at the Pullman Hotel just before Christmas, so we passed the park going to and from Queen Street. We finally had time to walk up the hill and explore the park. It's the kind of quiet park that was landscaped to please...More

The best season for visiting Auckland is in summer. And Albert park is one of 'must see' destination in Auckland central. It just need a couple minutes from Sky tower or Britomart. Enjoy seeing colorful park with birdies just coming on near a main fountain..

This is a nice, small park by the university. There were athletes training while we were there, which makes a lot of sense. It's very hilly, and great for a quick workout up and down the hills.

The park is quite an easy walk from the city centre, there are some reasonable steep climbs to the park. The park itself is well laid out with nice flower beds, grassed areas and fountains. There are park seats to sit back like other reviewers...More

Pleasant park to stroll or picnic in, situated in the city centre and close to uni, plenty of people and beautiful gardens and trees to admire with SkyCity as the backdrop.

I will be there in June which I know will be winter for New Zealand. Will the park still be worth visiting at that time of year?

Albert Park is on a hill in the city centre. You can see some of the surrounding buildings including the Sky Tower between the trees. June is winter here, and as the other posts indicate, it is cold but not freezing... More
