We enjoyed our time on Rangitoto Island. Perfect weather, friendly staff on the ferry and great Bush walks.

The island is beautiful. It was a warm day so I was thankful that we bought the tour ticket. They drive you around the island. Make sure you take water!

Easy day trip from Auckland. Easy hike through a forest to the summit. Limited facilities on island. No water so be sure to carry some. Quick side trip to the lava tubes is worth it.

Very nice for half or full day out of the city. Trekking is easy but great view. If you take the long way back (2-2,5h) make sure you got enough water. Beautiful vulcanic vegetation

Absolutely beautiful, but remember to bring food and water! As it is a nature reserve no restaurants, shops, or even vending machines. Does have bathrooms. Also everyone warned us not to miss the last ferry out, the island is beautiful but you don't want to...More

Yes, but bring a raincoat and warm clothes. The paths are solid so it is not muddy.
