it was a beautiful drive and we stopped at both Muriwai and Piha beaches. The road is really windy, and for Americans trying to keep left it was nerve-wracking - mostly for the passenger. ;)

A great way to see some highlights of the upper north Island and its offerings. Take your time . Nz roads aren't the .. Let's say safest.. Pay attention, take breaks, enjoy it man. I'm from nz . I know what I'm talking about

I Have traveled all around New Zealand and this road was too long and not so nice. It was still fine, but There are better roads in this wonderful country!

Drove to the visitors center on our last day. We couldn't hike because it was raining and we didnt want to muddy our boots before packing but we continued down to Piha. Absolutely beautiful and a must when visiting Auckland
