Easy parking for great shopping, coffee and international cuisine. Any trip to Auckland must include a quick trip to Ponsonby.

Don't go to poison you street by way of college hill (unless you want a good workout!) this hill goes on forever. I would go up Franklin instead. Lots of bars, shops and restaurants. Feels a little run down in spots.

What can you say - 2km of wall to wall cafes, restaurants and great boutique shops. Some of my favourites - Ponsonby Central for eating - good mix of food places - the Fairy Shop - great for little girls - Central Park - excellent coffee. You need to walk to take it all in - so park the car... More

With its many boutique local fashion label Shops. There are a range of varied eateries and also a great Coffee Culture. Some Eateries offer live music and there are bars aplenty.

This little area of town was such a pleasure to visit. We went window shopping. Stopped at a couple of places to nibble and get a glass of wine. There is place where there is about 15 restaurants in one area and it had an Argentinian restaurant there that was fabulous. Can't remember the name.

Walking down Ponsonby and its side streets is a wonderfully interesting due to its vast collection of historic colonial villas, its warm and friendly locals and the many cafes, shops, restaurants and watering holes that line the street. Small and interesting galleries are well worth a visit to see some local art, and the food is second to none! Ponsonby... More

Great cafe's and restaurants along a buzzing street. Great bars and nightlife after dark. Add in a few historical buildings and it makes for a great stroll with the family.
