I along monthly. Always something to discover. Good interactive display. Kids and adults. The aviation is very good. Third Sunday in any month special displays (aviation display, military display,etc)

Lots of exhibits. Well laid out. Loads for the kids to do. I'd recommend parking at the zoo and walking as limited parking at MOTAT

We loved this place. Great value. $45 4 family and we spent all day. Allow a full day as u will need it. Heaps of hands on displays and things for little ones.

my advice would to not bother finding a motel specifically near motat, rather look into the best motels in central auckland . it's not very far from the central city
