Four of us took the free shuttle from the ferry terminal area to the Aquarium. There was a bit of a wait but not too bad. The aquarium was fabulous. Very historic and informative to set the stage and then the "Penguins"!!!! They were so amazing and totally captured our attention. The glass tunnel with sharks and fish and all... More

Family visited in January. Caught the complementary shuttle bus from the city. Very easy. All had a good time and the highlight was the penguins!

As aquariums go this is right up there, really good displays, tunnel through the shark tank and the added bonus of the penguin enclosure. Also a great spinning tunnel at the entrance.

I was really disappointed by Kelly Tarltons. My partner and I went and it seems to me that it would likely be a good place to take kids. Seeing as we were childless we didn't enjoy the fact that there were so many kids running around etc. It looked like the kids playground was great for kids. The cafe was... More

Kelly Tarlton's was a great little get away on a wet day. the aquarium was smaller them expected. had a bit of trouble getting parking space. but apart from that it was great see all the penguins, stingrays, sharks & the many different fishes of all shapes and sizes up close.

This aquarium was on the list of our cruise ship excursion. The weather was not good, so we decided to go there. The aquarium has kind of museum exposition for Antarctic expeditions, some sharks, many very unusual fish. But the most fascinated was the huge place were you can see many many cute penguins. You can see them busy walking,... More

We walked through this aquarium on a whim as it was part of the hop-on/hop-off bus tour, but it ended up being one of our favorite things we did during the short time we were in Auckland. The facility is surprisingly sizeable as its mostly underground and winds around. We particularly enjoyed seeing the replica of the first accommodation in... More
