Came across the tram by accident on Sunday. It only operates now on Sundays and Bank Holidays, and because of road works can only operate for a shortened part of the route. Driver was fantastic, loved the 93 year old tram and cost a dollar...More

Rode the tram today. Discovered it almost by accident. Fare was a gold con as part of the road where the track is situated is undergoing redevelopment work. Great value for money and very friendly and passionate staff.

You need to be realistic about what this is and not expect too much. For $2 it is a fun trip for littlies and an eye-opener for an Aucklander who has obviously lived under a rock and not realised the extent of the Viaduct development.

went on this when 1st established, though pleasant the route was short, so expensive for what you get. As are most of the bars, cafe & restaurants when you have children to also feed. Otherwise a pleasant tourist experience for couples.
