Beautiful park area to walk around, shops, restaurants, and ocean to explore. All in all, worth the ferry boat trip to spend the day.

Great place to visit, it is like it has stood still in time, so relaxing. Great cafes, shops and so close to the city. Catch the ferry from Downtown Auckland and sit by the water and watch the ships, yachts and all sorts of boats...More

Loved my day at Devonport! Only 10 NZD to get there from Auckland and only took maybe 20 minutes. Right beside the port is a park by the sea with a beautiful library. Across the park are quaint stores and cafes. Take a short hike...More

Short ferry ride to Devonport where we spent most of the day visiting the town, beaches, Mount Victoria and the Naval Museum. Well worth the time taken.

Cute, trendy, historic and beautiful. Has access to great walks, beach and free museums. Stunning day out. The locals are friendly as well. There is a good history to this place I would recommend as a day out to escape the city.

What's not to love about a place you can reach by car or boat, eat a wide range of cuisines - all good, fresh and served with a smile, and finish with a walk along the gulf?
