Beautiful quaint setting with some lovely old houses, nice village with some great little shops, coffee outlets and places to eat. Nice for walks along the harbour side, park for the kids to play in. There's also the Devonport mount views of the harbour to die for, take a picnic well worth. Great day out. If you fancy take the... More

Enjoy the short ferry ride across the harbour to the lovely seaside suburb of Devonport. Wander down the main street and enjoy a coffee. Wonderful weeping fig trees and lovely views across the harbour.

We love Devonport. There are a fantastic range of Cafe's for a quiet coffee and snack along with some excellent restaurants for something more substantial. The shopping offers a lot with a good range of boutique shops to wander and enjoy. The history in this place is also fantastic and well worth exploring.

This is a ' must do' destination - a drive up to the parking area then a walk around the well-formed tracks taking you right around the volcanic hill. There is a track that takes you down to the waters edge or keep on the higher track for impressive expansive views of the Harbour and the beautiful city of Auckland!... More

Either drive or catch the ferry to Devonport for a spot of scenery and then have brunch or lunch or afternoon tea in the little shopping area. Nice trip rain or shine.

The best way to see and enjoy Devonport is by Ferry, if you don’t want to use private car. Easy short Ferry cruise from Auckland Downtown through Ferry Building Wharf with one truly advantage, to avoid traffic jam on the only road to Devonport, Lake Road, which always a busy road with long queue no matter the day. Once visitors... More

A nice trip for tourists or aucklanders alike - easy for a drive or a ferry over. I would love to live out here - so much culture.

Enjoyed the 15 minute ferry ride! We explored Devonport on the Magic Broomstick Segway tour. We were able to see picturesque beaches and shops.
