    Waiheke island
If you want something fun to do while visiting Aukland then you definitely should book with Fullers to spend a day on Waiheke. For $68nzd you can take the ferry to and from Aukland/Waiheke and ride the hop on/hop off bus to explore the island. Waiheke is full of wineries and the bus is the best way to visit them. No need for a designated driver. We were able to visit 4 wineries in an afternoon after getting off our flight.

    reliable ferry service
For a while I was taking the Devonport ferry from the City on almost a daily basis. It left every half an hour, took about 20 minutes and cost about $5 on my AT Hop card. I found it efficient, reliable, and the staff were very safety conscious. they had a really good routine for docking and getting people on and off.

Great day trip to Waiheke Island from Auckland!
We really enjoyed our journey on Fullers to Waiheke. It only took 40 mins and we got dropped off at the port. The ferry was run efficiently and very clean. I recommend buying tickets online (also an option to buy at stand) and arriving 10 minutes before the scheduled departure.

I'm an Aucklander and a regular user of this service and see with surprise how the prices are constantly increased with no reason at all, this impacts so much on the people that lives here and want to visit their own city and the Hauraki gulf islands, more than that there is no justification for this constant increase, the service is not upgraded at all and the Country economy does not justify these increases. Fullers is the only company that operates and therefore they take advantage of this to set the prices arbitrarily, shame on them.
In addition the service to Waiheke Island is really bad out of touristic season and they cancel ferries with no reason. This should be reviewed.

This company is an absolute rip off!!! Do NOT use them. We were charged $6 for a pack of 3 paper face masks, on top of the $140 ferry fee which is just ridiculous. Face masks should be complimentary as on-board Air New Zealand flights and Auckland's buses. Fullers takes advantage of their passengers and is purely a money making scam.

Kia Ora, thank you for your review regarding our position around providing face masks to passengers. We’re sorry that you have been disappointed on this occasion. We do rely on individual responsibility to meet the face covering/masks requirements in everyone’s best interest and we trust that passengers will adhere to the requirements as mandated by the government. We recommend that our passengers travel with their own face masks, however we do appreciate that passengers may forget to carry this at times. To help support these requirements and expectations from the ferry users and to ensure that maximum passengers comply with the requirements, we have partnered with MEOAIR to make masks purchasable for passengers who fail to carry their own. We’re sorry if you were disappointed with the costs. Rest assured, we have monitored guidelines from the Ministry of Health and Auckland Transport throughout various alert levels and will continue to do so as we progress. Thank you again for your review and we hope you have a nice rest of the week. Take care!

Poor feery service, irregular, incompetent at organising replacements, poor customer service (head office staff). Really dissapiint3d in their poor performance these last 12 months. It has been absolutely appalling considering I am paying $355 a month for their services!!

We got the ferry from Devonport to Waiheke Island as part of a island tour. Fullers provide an awsome service but let themselves down big time.

Our trip was taken during covid 2.5 which means mandotary wearing of masks on public transport. Obviously fullers must have an exemption. As we were boarding at Waiheke the man in front of us told the fullers staff member of a person not wearing a mask. He was told a crew member would check it out once underway. Well to my surprise over half the passengers were not wearing masks and all fullers were interested in doing was selling beer and wine. I was disgusted with this and not once did a crew member come into the main lounge and ask people to wear masks.

From a large professional company this is not good enough.

Kia Ora Phillip, thank you for your review. Whilst we're glad to hear we've provided an awesome service, we're sorry that you have been disappointed on this occasion. At Alert Level 2.5 face coverings are mandatory on public transport, and for some, there are credible exemptions as outlined by the Ministry of Health. Ultimately, the Police have the responsibility for enforcing the mandatory mask use, and Auckland Transport security guards on the wharves are also providing an encouragement of the guidelines as well as. The role of our crew is to monitor and remind customers of the policy, and to escalate to police when necessary. Our crew have been doing this while passengers board and again at the cafes when serving customers. We’re sorry if this wasn’t the case when you travelled. Do note, our on-board crew and our bus drivers are not in a position to enforce this in anyway or deny boarding as found online here https://covid19.govt.nz/health-and-wellbeing/protect-yourself-and-others/wear-a-face-covering/ . There have been on board announcements to remind passengers about masks and we’ve also made masks available for those travelling without them. Again, it is an expectation from the government and we rely on individual responsibility to meet this in everyone’s best interest. There are some exemptions for some individuals wearing masks on various grounds and our crew/drivers are not expected to ask for ‘evidence’ to prove these exemptions. Rest assured, we have monitored guidelines from the Ministry of Health and Auckland Transport throughout various alert levels and will continue to do so as we progress. Thank you again for using our services and we hope we have you on board again very soon. Take care, Phillip. Kind regards, Fullers 360.

Fullers ruined my Christmas lunch on Waiheke. I booked months ago for a restaurant and taxi, but Fullers do not take bookings for ferry sailings. Instead, they run a preferential service for residents, who can arrive as late as they like and jump the queue, meaning people like me that have queued for half an hour or more are denied boarding the ferry. The ferry was late and all the announcements were unintelligible. The staff let hundreds of people queue up, expecting to catch the 11am sailing, when less than half were allowed to board. I have no idea why they cannot have staff count people and close the queue once the capacity is reached. I highly recommend Sealink to anyone that wants to go to Waiheke. They are professional, take bookings and run on time unlike Fullers.

This is the first time I have ever left a negative review on trip advisor but was so disappointed that I wanted to warn others.
We booked the ferry/ bike hire combo to Waiheke Island. Upon arrival on a boat that holds a few hundred people we disembarked to collect our bikes which the lady on the phone said would be easy to find, well I couldn’t find it so had to ask the fullers desk where to go, they were not that helpful and said it was behind their counter round the back. We had to collect our bikes from a car rental desk and guess what there were about 10 people queuing for car pick up in front of us. After about 30 minutes queuing with a few people still in front of us I went back to the fullers counter to say I would like a refund to which they replied it was nothing to do with them as they were just the agent.
After 55 minutes we finally reached the counter to be told we had to go to a white van in the car park and collect the bikes. The man at the van started getting e bikes ready when we had booked mountain bikes. He was clearly thrown by this and said he had no notification of our booking. The guy was nice enough but the whole process took a while and the bikes were old and tired. We asked for a map to which he replied we get it from the car rental place we had just queued at for 50 minutes, so back we went. We finally set off one hour and 30 minutes after arriving and then had to go back because the gears were not working properly on one of the bikes. As the man had left we had to ring and wait for him to come back so it was 2 hours before we actually set off properly.
I did ring Fullers to complain and the lady said she would get back to me, surprise surprise she didn’t.
Please don’t use Fullers for bikes, there are local bike hiring places just outside the terminal that don’t require you to queue behind many people collecting cars and I am certain you will receive better customer service and help.
For a big established company, this combo is not in keeping with the quality you would expect

Kia Ora Karenza, thank you for your review and we’re very sorry that you have been disappointed on this occasion. Our partners and bike providers are located just inside the Matiatia ferry terminal and are very easy to locate as the terminal is considerably small. However, we’re sorry that this wasn’t the case when you travelled and for the inconvenience it may have caused you whilst finding their service desk. Do note, the goal always is to be prepared for each booking and have the vehicle/bike ready before the customer arrives. However, there will be operational challenges at times that may prevent this from happening, especially on days where higher passenger volume is expected and some of these being passengers without a booking in place. Regardless, we’re sorry again for the experience that you’ve had and thank you for leaving this review highlighting your negative experience. We’ll pass on your comments to our wider team to see if there’s an opportunity to improve things in order to provide a consistent, efficient and an overall excellent service to all customers. Thanks again and we hope your next experience with us is way better than this. Take care! Kind regards, Fullers 360

These guys run a steady stream of ferries to various destinations in the gulf on a pretty much half hour basis to some and regular convenient times to others. If you want to get from A to B just use fullers. Fast boarding and disembarking no messing around.

Fullers360 canceled two returning ferries(12:20, 14:20) from Rangitoto to city centre after everyone has boarded and the ferry departed. Since the only left option is at 16:20, lots of us have to hop off at Devonport and wait for another hour to go back to city centre. We got up early to catch the ferry, Fullers can you at least show some sympathy to your customers and don’t waste our time like this? If the weather just got worsen in the morning you weren’t able to send us an email or SMS last night, you could at least let us know before departure?! Lots in the group are traveling from overseas, if you are keep going to treat your customers this way, how would you expect them to come back again?

My experience was very positive. The origins of the opinion go to my first visit to the harbor. I was checking in prices, timing, and additional information. The first individual with whom I spoke assisted me as much as she could then sent me inside. The ladies inside were patient, friendly, detailed, and answered all questions I posed.

The rides were fine, nothing was falling apart (boat was well kempt), crew was on task and courteous; it went well.

What a dismal, cheerless part of the wonderful Waiheke experience. Coming back on Queens Birthday Monday we had long queues, poor management, confusing messages, 20 minute departure delay, poor sound system, rubbish hospitality offer. Sure there’s plenty of hard working (and some) pleasant staff but no-one running this show cares or has a clue.

Kia Ora, thank you for your review regarding our Waiheke Island services. We’re sorry that you have been disappointed on this occasion. Boarding for our Waiheke Island services is done on a first in first serve basis and these tickets are sold as open tickets. While our team do anticipate passenger numbers, it is impossible to have an exact number of passengers expected per sailing. There have been many occasions previously where our team have organised a ‘back up’ boat so that maximum passengers can travel as planned. However, providing ‘back up boats’ isn’t possible due to factors such as but not limited to vessel breakdowns, mechanical issues and crew unavailability. Our staff at the terminal do make announcements consistently to keep the passengers informed about any disruptions or last minute changes. We’re sorry if the sound system was poor at the time and the announcements weren't audible. Our team are aware of this and have raised this with relevant authorities who manage the wharf facilities. We can assure you that our team allocate the best vessels to each route based on availability and anticipated passenger demand. Considering passenger demand at various times, our vessels are also crewed to accommodate maximum number of passengers. On days when a high passenger volume is expected, we do recommend that you allow extra travel time or travel outside the peak hours if possible. We’re sorry again for the disappoint caused. We hope your next experience with us is a lot better than this. Kind regards, Fullers 360.
