Nice spots for tourists and locals
If you are in Perth a walk along the Elizabeth Quay is a must. They view on the bay is really breathtaking both in broad daylight and at sunset. From the Bell Tower walk over the Elizabeth Quay Bridge and reach the First Contact Sculpture. Don't be in a rush and look at the modern skyline growing each day more and more and then look in the distance to see the quite neighbourhood of South Perth (on the other side of the bay). From here you can decide whether to go back to the City Centre or keep walking along the cycle path that will lead eventually down to the University of West Australia passing under Kings Park.

Lively area and nice to visit
While staying in Perth, it is nice to walk around the Harbour. There are lots of restaurants, and activity here (vs CBD at night which is so quiet). You can catch a boat ride down the Swan River, sit and people watch or walk over the bridge, which is lit at night.

    Centre
This is probably the Ground Zero of Perth City. You have to come here to get an understanding of Perth and how the city is structured around this place. Many important historic building are located around the quay. It is a beautiful place to walk around.

    Loved 👏🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏼‍♂️
We were staying @ the Ritz Carlton hotel in the heart of Elizabeth Quay. It’s a lovely place to take your time and stroll along the pebbled paths and explore the beautiful surroundings alongside the Swan River. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants not to mention Gusto Gelato for ice-cream lovers.

    Great Modern Amenity
This area is the redeveloped old Perth port area. It's now a mixture of repurposed old sheds/ warehouses and sympatheic new buildings, full of bars and restaurants. There's a huge modern statue, the Bell Tower, a carousel, bus station, shops and a modern ferry port. Very pleasant to walk around.

We booked the restaurant one week before New years eve and was promised a very nice view to the firework.. Arrived at 8pm and ordered dinner. We ordered grilled prawns and became very disapointed. The prawn tasted bad. We asked about the firework and the waitress could tell us that we would not be able to watch it from the restaurant. Therefore we left the restaurant after a very disapointing evening.

I’ve lived in Western Australia my whole life and finally got around to visiting Elizabeth keys with my international family visitors.
How disappointing - a large concrete jungle with little shade. My visitors were elderly and it’s a big area to traverse! It looked sad tired with the air of retail despair. Look retails tough atm but come on guys put on your happy faces.
We walked from the hotel 10 minutes and noticed the parking is a way away from the key. If you have movement problems I suggest getting someone to drop you off and good luck getting a close park .
The cobblestones are very nice but not easy to walk on .
If your limited for time please visit kings park as it’s cool beautiful and the views of the city and river are stunning .

We visited at the end of the school holidays but this place felt quiet. It is very new and lacks some of the character of Barrack Street Quay. Having said that there are boat trips available, there was yacht activities going on and it is the arrival/departure point for the South Perth/ Perth Zoo ferry.

Elizabeth Quay is certainly a beautiful area to visit either daytime or at night.

The stunning City Views & Night Lights & only a few minutes walk to main Elizabeth Quay Railway Station.

Many of the City Free BlackCat buses & Perth Explorer Hop On Hop Off Bus frequently stop in this area & Ferry's.

Stunning modern architectural buildings not forgetting the unusual shaped Queen Elizabeth Quay Bridge & other structures.

Defiantly recommend a visit for all ages with Cafes & Restaurants within the area.

Elizabeth Quay is a basin of water which was gouged out of the north bank of the Swan River. It has brought the river to the City. You can take the ferry to South Perth, and walk up to the Zoo, it's about a 10 minute walk. Elizabeth Quay is a place that will grow and develop. The main feature is the Bell Tower, which houses the bells of St Martins-in-the-Fields, London. The Quay is named in honour of the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. It's a good place for a celebration.

Went into Perth City by train and took an easy walk down to Elizabeth Quay. The new Ritz-Carlton Hotel was the most prominent building but merging around that to the water side, the view expanded into a vista of beautiful paved walkways with the Bell Tower the main feature. Some terraced steps and ramps made for some careful stepping out due to our age, but was easy to navigate around. Gusto Gelato was an interesting sweet dessert after our fish and chip dinner over at the Shag Cafe on the waterfront. Would love to see the city backdrop and foreshore at night. A lovely day out.

We took friends visiting from interstate to Elizabeth Quay. We were very impressed ourselves as we hadn’t been there since the Hotels & Restaurant were under construction.
The food was tasty, excellent presentation & really enjoyable. We had Bruschetta, Cheese Croquettes & Loaded Tacos, which were my least favourite. It was quite pricy but it isn’t somewhere that you would go every day. The Bruschetta was $18 for 2 pieces of bread but they were quite filling.

Lovely place to spend some time in Perth. Some free activities for kids, plenty of shade. Good choice of bars and restaurants. We also took the ferry to South Perth from here one day which was well worth it-$3.20 for a return ticket within 2 hours

Elizabeth Quay is intended to bring the river to Perth city. It is only a short walk from the Quay to the city, but the Quay now seems to becoming a multi-faceted real estate development. One of its main features is the Swan Bells. Visitors can also take the ferry across the Swan River to Mends St in South Perth. The ferry leaves from Elizabeth Quay. Fares are modest; seniors can travel free, off peak. Elizabeth Quay is on the northern side of Perth Water, one of the Swan River's largest expsanses of watder.

When Elizabeth Quay was under construction, the utility of gouging a giant hole in the banks of the Swan River may have seemed dubious. The end, result, however, is that there is a spacious pool of water that brings the river to Perth city. Apart from anything else, the Mends St ferry now connects Elizabeth Quay to South Perth The ferry is very economical. Seniors travel free, off peak. You can see the the numbat and frilled lizard canopies welcoming you to South Perth.
