It could be so much better
Aug 2021
It's hard to judge, it is not finished, and it looks like it has a couple more years to go, we were there on a very nice fine day, but I could imagine of a wet day it will be almost deserted.

Lovely area to wander or sit and enjoy the view
Jun 2021
We recently visited Perth and stayed with family in South Perth who lived walking distance from the ferry that delivered you right in the heart of Elizabeth Quay. It became a favourite place for us during our 2 weeks there.
Gusto Gelato - If you love ice cream, you'll love Gusto Gelato. We visited this gelato store several times and may have become addicted to their delicious flavours.
The Island - We had a lovely, lazy lunch at The Island with live music on our last day in town. The pizzas were delicious and the beer was cold. Perfect way to end our holiday.
For kids - there is a lovely fountain area that is free for the kids to play in and lights up beautifully at night. There is also the vintage carousal for kids of all ages.
You can take a romantic gondola ride from the jetty at Elizabeth Quay as well.
The bridge over to The Island is a lovely walk any time of the day and a great way to help walk off the gelato!
There was still lots of construction happening around the area when we visited, so I'm sure this area will only get better.

Where is the parking?
Apr 2021
This is a wonderful large open space adjacent to the city centre and the Swan River. High-rise, units, hotel, cafes, walkways, etc but it is not accessible. If one can find somewhere to park the car without having to walk and walk with young children, they are lucky. This is a venue for adults, and perhaps nightlife. Not easy to visit with elderly and young family members.

Thanks Mr Barnett for your foresight.

Its been interesting to see Elizabeth Quay develop from concept to the major attraction and facility that it is today. A focal point for cruises on the Swan and further afield to the Swan Valley and Fremantle, quality accommodation, great variety of restaurants and cafes to suit most pockets, the Bell Tower, artwork, the bridge. Something for most top enjoy.

Walking along the foreshore is quite pretty. Lots of dining and bar options along the way. It's nice for a midday/ afternoon wonder.
