A very useful library
Jul 2020
The City pf Perth Library is in Hay St, behind the Town Hall. It has very good monograph collection (that is, books) both fiction and non-fiction. The library can be a little confusing at first, it is laid out over a number of levels. Visitors can use the computers for a limited amount of time. It is possible to join the library, find out if you are eligible. The City of Perth Library is distinct from the State Libarry of WA (SLWA), which is in the cultural precinct, wjhich is a reference library.

Library for the people of Perth
May 2020
This Library was built by the City of Perth for its citizens. It's a reference, research and lending library for Perth-- it should not be confused with State Library of Western Australia (SLWA) which is in Northbridge. It's a fine modern library, with lots of facilities, including computers. It's a good place to catch up with friends. Recently I spied a group of ladies playing mah-jong. The Library is in Hay Street, just down from Barrack Street. It's a good place to read; the collection is excellent. You can get a temporary membership which allows you to borrow books.

Quiet, interesting and free!

Perfect place to read, share some quiet time or get some free wifi to sort out your next move. Also great children's library to get the children enthused about reading.

Beautiful

Lovely to see such a well used library. Open every day. Loved the separation of age groups and interests by floor eg. children and carer. Beautiful building with lovely vistas as you walk down external staircase

worth a quick visit

This modern building fits in really well with it's older surroundings. The inside is definitely worth exploring as they manage to get a lot into a relatively small space. there is also a small cafe with nice coffee and lovely gluten free cakes etc.

City events
Dec 2019 • Business
I have attended here on numerous occasions but mainly for work events. The library is centrally located and easy walking distance from the CBD.

The whole aesthetics of this building is fantastic with open areas with library being on the ground whilst they have conference rooms above.

The conference area is quite large and I have attended many meetings and events here. Security is situated at the main library entry and they are very friendly and personable.

I’m a regular - it’s a lovely space to visit
Nov 2019
It’s an interesting building from the outside, centrally located and easy to get to. The interior is just as pleasing. Spacious, airy, light filled and inviting. I often visit to read the wide variety of papers and exchange library books. I wander in intent on a quick visit and a couple of hours later reluctantly leave. A great range of books, magazines and papers located over several floors. I won’t go into detail on what’s available as you can get that from the website- but staff are very helpful. The ground floor coffee shop is good too.

Fine library for the City of Perth
Sep 2019
The City of Perth Library serves the city area. It is newly constructed and has a fine collection made up of all sorts of media. Four ladies were playing mahjong while I was visiting, it's a nice place to spend some time.
