We went for the 90 min ecotour and it turned into a magnificent whale watching tour. We couldn’t get away from the whales! It was awesome! The guys on the boat were knowledgeable, friendly, caring and very safety conscious. Highly recommended.
Capt Damo and Katy we’re both excellent. Welcoming and really knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
The tour itself was excellent. We saw the native fur seals and were lucky enough to see dolphins too!
We only had a day here so it would have been nice if...More
A brilliant tour, well organised and great fun. We were supplied with wet gear which was just as well as there were high winds and a big swell. The driver was skilled and the commentary was informative. Definitely a must do when on 'Rotto' unless...More
Was really hoping to catch the whale migration however the season was over as explained by the tour guide
I booked online a couple of weeks earlier
Our trip was only on the north side of the island due to strong winds down south
Not one for roller coaster or speed I don’t know how we ended up booking this trip ! Howevyas it turned out I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Damian the skipper was a very good driver and the guy doing the commentary/ helping...More
Rottnest adventure tour is a must. This was a great experience, very well organised and very informative plus loads of fun. Seeing the whales in their natural habitat was amazing and the seals were so cute perched up in the rocks. Thanks for a fab...More
We did the Rottnest Express, then the Adventure Boat Ride followed by the bur tour. The Adventure Boat was amazing and the bonus was it was whale-watching season and the whales obliged. The quokkas being free range everywhere on the island make for great photos.Plenty...More
I flew to Rottnest island with a friend of mine to find basically nothing worth looking at. Although the Perth residents appeared to like the place although many I talked to had never been there. A ferry will take you there but don’t expect to...More
This beach is beautiful. We can see the lighthouse at all times.
The dunes are attractive as well and there are boulders and stones on the beach and in the ocean.
While exploring we saw some marsupials. They were so cute!
This is truly worthwhile...More

The weather at that time of year is often wet, as it's the middle of winter which may limit the activities you can do. There is a bus that goes around the Island as well as tours on a bus. If you are in good health and fit there are lots of walks.
You don't need to ride a bike to get around.
It really is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The weather is a gamble at that time.
