An oasis in a City and a lovely diversion off the Swan River walk. Heritage as well and an indigenous history.

Easy walk from hotels, or buses at each end of bridge over Swan River. Birds, kangaroos and a few monuments on the island. Good views of Perth City from the island. Kangaroos are sleeping during the day, but get active at sunset.

An easy walk from East Perth, Heirisson offers some relaxed surroundings right on the Swan River. Good for fishing, or just a BBQ. There is a walking trail that takes you through an "untouched" section that is home to about 10 Kangaroos. The gates can...More

Early Sunday morning on this beautiful tiny nature reserve with views over Perth and 5 friendly roos happily grazing on their breakfasts. A real oasis.
