About
The Bell Tower is one of the most unique things to see in Perth. The available tours give you a fascinating insight into the one of the most unique facilities in the world! Have a go at chiming a historic bell and learn about the ancient art of bell ringing. Your tour guide will also present to you a souvenir chiming certificate. The Bell Tower is also home to the ANZAC Bell. Watch and listen to 6,500kg Bell ring at 12pm, (1pm on ANZAC Day - 25 April). Twelve of the 18 bells in this Tower came from London's St. Martin-in-the-Fields church in Trafalgar Square as a Bicentenary gift to the people of Western Australia in 1988. Originally cast in the 13th century and recast in the 16th and 18th centuries, they were rung at the homecoming of James Cook after his voyage of discovery in 1771, after the Battle of El Alamein in 1942 and at the coronation of every British monarch since George II in 1727. Book the Bell Tower Experience Tour, the ANZAC Bell Tour or the Romance Package.

    Insightful experience
I had a great time at the Bell Tower. It was really interesting to learn about the history of this building, and how the towers came to be located inside this structure. I was fortunate to have been there when the ANZAC bell was rung at midday. You can also feel the incredible weight of this bell swinging back-and-forth inside the building. A sight to behold. Unfortunately the Bell Tower is only open for half the week, and only for a few hours for open days. So plan ahead!
It really is so special to be able to experience the ANZAC Bell ringing like that! Unfortunately it is the off season so it is difficult to justify being open more days at the moment, on the plus side, because its the off season, there's a very good chance of there being a free spot on tours.

You actually ring the bell towers
A well organised and interesting history of bell ringing in the heart of Perth. We elected to take the bell ringing tour where we are not only educated on the history of ringing bell towers, we were also afforded an opportunity to actually ring the bells. Howard, the bell ringer, is both passionate in bells and provides a humorist approach in telling the bell ringing story. Affordable and highly recommended.
Congratulations on becoming an official bell chimer! We are so pleased you had a great time on the tour, and we hope to see you again.

    Great experience
We took the children’s tour for our 5 year old and our 2 year old tagged along. The guide was friendly, patient (I was translating facts to my children) and interesting. The children each got a diploma for ringing the bells. The view is amazing. The 4 of us really enjoyed the experience !
Thank you so much for leaving a review about the kid's tour! This is a relatively new tour, and we are so pleased that everyone enjoyed their time with us.

    Highly recommended!
Our visit to Bell Tower turned out better than I had imagined. We went for the package with the bell ringing and it was an eye-opener. The tour guide Jeff was very engaging and did a good job telling us everything he knew about bells. My 5-year-old was very engaged and loved exploring the exhibits.
Hi Faith, Thank you for taking the time to leave us suck a kind review. Jeff is a master at keeping people engaged, and I'm glad your 5-year old was just as interested!

Thanks Jeff for the tour! This was a great bit of affordable fun and a history lesson too. Hearing the bells in the city, it was nice to know that I had been able to add to that. Jeff was entertaining and well-informed to present the history as well as demonstrate the bell-ringing. The groups ranged from about 10-70+ yo and we all had a go! Another unique experience that you can't get anywhere else in Australia or many spots around the world. The observation deck gives beautiful Swan River views and the electronic carillon plays some great songs. Great fun!

This is an iconic modern building housing the historic bells from St Martin in the Fields London, these old bells are still in use today as a centre of excellence for the ancient art of change bell ringing as carried out in churches across the UK since the 1700s . This is all thanks to the passion of a few inspired people who got the tower built and brought the bells halfway round the world to make this unique statement of old traditional art and new architecture. The building is is stunning the tour excellent, and if you get chance to ring a bell do so, it’s harder than it looks! Best time to visit is around midday when the huge 6 tonne ANZAC bell is tolled to commemorate those who were lost fighting for freedom in the WW1 and WW2

The Swan Bells hung in St Martins-in- the Fields Anglican Church for 200 years before they were reinstalled in Perth. It's scarcely believable, but its true. Now, there's aslo a 500 ton ANZAC Bell, founded in WA. You see and hear the Swan Bells being un, it's quite an experience.

We visited the bell tower a couple of days ago and did the ANZAC Bell tour. It was one of my partner’s birthday presents as she loves anything to do with the ANZAC’S.
We were guided by Sylvia who was very knowledgeable and has a true passion for what she does.
We both absolutely loved every minute of the tour and learned quite a bit on the way.
Couldn’t believe that we could actually ring the bells and seeing the giant six ton ANZAC bell ring at midday was amazing.
Thank you and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Interesting place to visit we paid for the family package to ring the bells/tour. We brought our 3 kids (8,5,1) we don’t recommend bringing a baby. The tour was great, the tour guide was very accommodating and helped the kids ring the bells. The view from the top is stunning. Elevator and stair options

This is a must do. There are 6 levels and each one has a different characteristic. All related to the bells in the building which have very interesting histories. If you take the tour the you will be able to have a go at ringing the Bells. the only place in the world a visitor can do this.. Great friendly guide and some interesting history not to mention the easy viewing platforms at each level and if you can't manage stairs there is a lift which will stop at each level.

Make sure you visit when the Bell Ringers are ringing, it is fabulous. Sit and watch the bells ringing and watch the ringers on a screen.
The Anzac Bell rings at 12, it is very moving and beautiful.

While Holidaying in Perth from Cairns from 25/11/20 I took numerous walks around The Bell Tower while exploring Perth on the Hop On & Hop Off Bus. My last visit to this beautiful area was in 2008 & certainly many changes just around the corner from the Tower to Elizabeth Quay. A small park area to the side of the Tower to relax & listen out for the Clock Chimes.
