Take the full tour with scones served afterwards. The tour is informative, the guide is really good and isn't too long. Make time to look at the shop, so great original items and the staff are friendly. My only criticism, is the receptionist in the front door, although efficient was a little cold and in different. An occasional smile would... More

Visited the mint while in Perth recently, well worth the time and money to take the guided tour. Very educational, would be great for kids school project. You can even stay for a coffee!

This tour was recommended to us whilst on vacation in Perth from the UK. It was extremely interesting from start to finish with some nice shops selling in some cases very expensive jewellery. Well worth a visit.

This is a very informative visit and the gold pour was great. There is a lot to see in the shop, the museum and the big gold nugget which you can try to pick up if you can. Kids loved it.

Spent an afternoon here with friends, the tour itself is very interesting. Food at cafe was enjoyable and of course the gift shop is fab! X

Great place to visit with entertaining talks, which are educational as well as fun. Watching the melt the gold is fascinating, but your mind easily wanders as you stare at the gold salivating as you start fantasing about how to stage an audacious Oceans 11 style heist on the place. You'll realise this would be foolish endeavour and leave with... More

The tour of the mint is very interesting and the demonstration of pouring a gold bar is terrific. The cost of the tour is expensive but so is gold. The large gold coin is also a must see.

What a wonderfully informative and interesting morning - learned so much about the goldfields, the gold and the mining areas. Very interesting in the smelting room where the ore is actually turned into the gold bars. Lots of beautiful items to purchase too. Well worth a visit, we will makr a second one.

To be honest, its not a place I would recommend for a short visit, but if you are in the city and are interested in coins, a bit of Australia's Gold Rush history and to see liquid gold turn into a solid, then you should pay an hour visit to the Mint. The gold pouring is great, but not the... More

We went to the mint and did the tour, well worth $18. Only took an hour but was fun. The tour guide was energetic and friendly, amazing to see all the gold!
