Although much smaller than I expected, it was still a tranquil park and made for a lovely 45 minute stroll. Even at 8:30-9am the park was still very quiet, with only a couple of other people around. Would definitely be good for picnics as there's lots of grass and benches to watch the ducks from. The park is easily accessible from the CBD via the Red CAT bus, which drops you off at the front gates.

Queens Gardens is full of lakes. This area was once full of claypits, which made the bricks that built Perth in the colonial days. Queens Park is beloved of generations of Perth children for the statue of Peter Pan, an exact replica of the Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens in London. If you look carefully at the statue, you can see fairies, lizards and many other marvelous creatures. Queens Park is a refuge from Perth's ever-increasing traffic. it's well worth a visit.

This park is largely overlooked by most as it sits alongside Plain St and next to the WACA.

The gardens are well kept and the lake is full of birdlife. You can find black swans, ducks and a wide assortment of wildlife here. It's great for a pleasant walk or just time out to have your lunch of you work nearby.

Perth has many wonderful parks. This is another one. It is a little bit hidden away, which makes it a go to place during the busier tourist season for me. But during quieter times I prefer kings park

Queen's Gardens is a much-loved grassy area that celebrates Perth's history as the capital of Western Australia. This year is the 125th anniversary of the official launch of the Queen's Gardens. The Queen's Gardens date from April 1898. The Queen's Gardens were officially launched by Alexander Forrest, then Lord Mayor of Perth, in 1899. The Queen's Gardens 125th anniversary is known as the quasquicentennial. The Queen's Gardens are located at the corner of Hay Street and Hale Street in Perth.

As we were staying in the nearby Hyatt, I decided to go for a walk in Queen Gardens one morning.
It's a lovely place with an orbital outer path and a notable pond in the centre
Lots of beatiful trees, shrubs and flowers, plenty of benches to sit on and relax. The floodlights of the Cricket Stadium next door make an interesting backdrop.
Small and easily explored, Queens Park made for a lovely, relaxing hours walk and contemplation.

A beautiful tranquil garden filled with birdsong. Occasionally the peace is broken by the Kookaburra or the noisy Corellas.
In the centre is a collection of ponds which are filled with wildfowl. Plenty of benches and reasonable clean toilets. Easy to get to as on the Red Cat bus route.

I had read about this garden and wanted to visit during my time in Perth.

It was compact but lovely. A Peter Pan statue and ponds as well as big trees and green grass.

Well worth a visit for a walk around and a rest on a park bench.

This park, along with all the parks in Perth, is very well maintained. Lots of chairs to sit on and beautiful shady trees to sit under. Bring a rug, baguette and some cheese and a book.

The Queens Gardens are a few minutes from the city centre. Beautiful peaceful gardens where you can walk through or pull up a bench seat & just sit & relax for a little while.
