It's always humbling to know the many lives that were lost during the world war especially during the Japanese Occupation. Many commonwealth countries like Australia and Singapore have similar war memorials to remember the many who laid their lives.

This place certainly has good views of Perth City and the overall ambience is good as well. Worth a visit if you are in the area and can probably add in a picnic if you have time.

We stopped here today to admire the view over Perth city. Great weather and clear skies so the view was really good. And it wasn't too crowded which was an added bonus. Well worth a visit when in Perth.

This lookout is not described in smaller Perth guidebooks. We discovered it by chance on our visit to King's Park. Although the climb is tedious, it is a perfect destination for early mornings (lots of joggers) and sunsets. Don't forget good shoes and a waterbottle!
