I was here for the 100th Anniversary! The history and nostalgia is incredible at this beautiful outdoor cinema that has been operational since 1916.

Whilst watching latest release Hacksaw Ridge, an unashamed war movie, may seem at odds with tranquil picturesque Broome, the sound and picture quality was superb. The atmosphere of sitting under the stars in 30 degree plus warmth in the late evening, in comfortable deck chairs was unique and something to remember. The cinema eeks authenticity and a fun experience The... More

We went to the picture show and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The movie was great and the wild life flying overhead was a pleasing distraction. Take the aerogaurd with you for the mozzies and midges. Absolutely a must do while in Broome 😎

I was in Broome in the off season. It was a warm night, In a world of modern comforts. This is a great activity sitting in an old school deck chair. Having a lovely breeze cools you down. May need to rug up if this was cooler. it's very cool looking up at stars and fruit bats that occasionally fly... More

A trip to Broome is not complete without watching a movie at the iconic Sun Pictures Cinema under the stars. There is a small kiosk selling popcorn ice cream sweets and drinks. So sit back and relax and enjoy the outdoor cinema. You can take your own pillow and blanket for extra comfort. 😜

We stopped in here as part of a tour around Broome. The establishment has not changed much since it was opened. The pictures is integral to the history of Broome. Well worth a visit either to catch a movie or just to take in some of the history Broome.

Watched a movie under the stars sitting in the deck chairs. Totally fabulous experience. The chairs were comfortable, the little kiosk sold popcorn and snacks and you could take your own food in too. A really memorable evening, loved it.

We went to Sun Pictures Cinema on Tuesday night and it was a lovely experience. The setting is rustic and you truly feel the history whilst watching the latest movies. You can bring your own food too.

The novelty of the outdoor cinema experience for the kids was enhanced by this historic venue. We would highly recommend it on the Broome holiday itinerary.
