There is a platform by the sidewalk to view the sea beyond the mangroves, but the best views are from the Mangrove Hotel restaurant a bit further on. Both overlooks are within walking distance of town center.
We visited Roebuck Bay to watch the staircase to the moon from Mangrove Hotel in September 2018. It was just magical. Such a beautiful experience. When visiting Broome visit during full moon time to see this natural phenomenon.
Roebuck Bay is a 10 minute drive from Cable Beach with a completely different perspective and different price point and well worth considering if you are considering a trip to Broome. The Mangrove Hotel is a fabulous location to see the staircase to the moon....More
