The lesser known beach in Broome but just as lovely and not as busy as Cable Beach. When the tide is out it is a lot of mudflats just like back home but when it is in like when we visited it is lovely clear blue waters with some WWII wreckage a bit further out that people were diving at.... More

Visited with relations to watch Staircase to the Moon but went for a swim in early afternoon, wonderful warm safe water, grass to relax on after, shady trees with tables and seats, huge parking area, local town bus service runs to the beach, excellent vantage point for Staircase to the Moon from the breakwater, at low tide you can walk... We tried to find this the first night but missed it by one street. Make sure you know exactly where you're heading and the tide times as there is only a small window to see the staircase at its best. We found it the second night and it was spectacular.

The perfect place for a picnic, to meditate or a morning yoga mesh is under the Boab tree on the hill. They also hold a monthly night market here with some really cool stalls that you don't see at the weekly Courthouse Market.

A nice clean family beach, though when the tide is out it's a long way to the water. There is a cafe that overlooks the beach that was good for breakfast. There coffee is also good. If you are in Broome at the full moon this is a fine place to watch the "Staircase to the Moon". This is the beach... More

This is a fantastic little beach with gorgeous blue water, no crocs and no stingers at this time of the year ( September) There is also a swimming pool for the kiddies and a lovely restaurant which caters for breaky and lunch, great little place.

We stayed at Oaks Broome, so Town Beach was in our front yard. Our time in Broome coincided with the 'staircase to the moon' phenomena, so our proximity to Town Beach was perfect. We obtained some great photos of this event. We also enjoyed Town Beach during daytime, and it was always clean and tidy and well maintained, plus the... More
