What a lovely place to start our visit to Broom. A cup of good coffee at the Town Beach café overlooking the water started our day which got better and better as we saw all the sights.

Amazing to see how much this part of the world is affected by the rise and fall of the tides. If you pick the correct day of the right month, there's opportunity to see Stairway to Moon and the next morning, a walk though the tidal flats to hunt for Flying Boat Wrecks.

Loveliest spot to sit and soak up the view or maybe swim if the tide is in (check with a local first!). If the tide is out, consider a walk on the mudflats

The only time I would visit Town Beach is for the night markets held when the 'staircase to the moon' is occurring.

We traveled for the incredible tides and were not disappointed! Walked to the wrecked flying boats every morning at low tide. Amazing place!

This is a great spot to photograph the Stairway to the Moon on the appropriate nights. It was lovely to see the moons reflection on the mud flats. It is also host,to the night markets on certain nights which offer a great choice of meals to be enjoyed in a picnic type atmosphere.

Lovely location away from the tourist main activities. Good for locals and if you want a little respite from hustle and bustle. Great sunrise.

Town beach is my favourite beach in Broome. The aqua coloured water framed by mangroves on a palm lined beach makes me think of paradise. When we were there my son was highly entertained by collecting hermit crabs which were all over the beach. The Cafe is perfectly situated next to the kids water park and means it's easy to... More

Great beach for photography, watching the sunset, fossicking amongst the rocks, having a quick dip in the water, fishing, walking, sun bathing or just sightseeing.
