About Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures
The Horizontal Falls are a fast-moving tidal flow through two narrow, closely aligned gorges of the McLarty Range, located in Talbot Bay. The direction of the flow reverses with each change of tide. As tides in the Kimberley can reach 10 metres, a peak tide gives rise to a significant difference in the sea level on either side of each gorge. Travelling by land, air and sea - Horizontal Falls offers full and half day tours to experience this natural phenomenon.

An absolutely fantastic day from start to finish, we flew from Broome on a seaplane with stunning scenery to see on the way there, on arrival a beautiful barramundi meal and then off on the boat to the horizontal falls such an amazing experience. The staff were so friendly and looked after everyone, couldn’t fault a single thing about this trip, well worth the money, a once in a lifetime trip. Don’t think about it just do it.

This was one of the most professional tours I’ve ever been on… not to mention the magical experience of going through the falls themselves. First of all the team, from pick up, to the pilot to the crew at the falls were all professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The tour itself was great with lots to see. Shark feeding in the morning was amazing – although I wouldn’t recommend the cage swim as you see just as much (probably more) from outside/above. Breakfast was outstanding and catered well for gluten free. The tour around Cyclone Creek and the waterways was beautiful and very informative, and the falls themselves were just magical. Photos and vision don’t really do it justice. While this tour is a little pricey, I would highly recommend. Both on the boat and on the plane, we were given ample opportunity to take photos (from both sides) and also just enjoy the experience. I think on the boat we went through each of the falls twice and then they reversed the boat up so we could get some vision close up. The plane pilot also did a couple of laps of the falls and Cape Leveque so we could all get good views.

I'm not really one who jumps on and writes a review, BUT, I sit here wrapping my head around what I've experienced over the past 18 odd hours. We flew out of Derby on a Seaplane for an overnight stay at Horizontal Falls. WOW, what a beautiful part of our great state of WA. Well worth it! We had a few thrill jet boat rides through and around the falls. We had lovely meals cooked for us, had a terrific little cabin, waking up to a spectacular view. Got to swim in a cage and see a huge shark and some beautiful fish being fed. What an amazing adventure. I also want to mention the pilots and crew that looked after us, you certainly delivered, so friendly, helpful and well organised. THANK YOU!

Breathtaking 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The view from the seaplane was by far my favourite part. The colours were unbelievable!! If that wasn’t enough it’s followed by a shark feeding and delicious lunch. The the fun really started with the boat ride through Cyclone Creek and Horizontal Falls. WOW! Definitely a must tour. Worth every cent. Photos don’t do the colours any justice.
