I have attended a couple of the Saturday sessions with Steph and Kate, they were on specific skills to learn with your camera. We went to really nice places and I felt challenged and learnt so much, the group were very friendly and supportive and the assistance and guidance from Steph and Kate was fantastic and professional. The classes are in small groups , the cost is cheap and you get feedback on your shots on the day and later in week online. I will defiantly do more classes

I attended the Beginners' Digital Camera Photography Course and it was marvellous. Over three hours on a Saturday morning, I learned more practical tips that are immediately useful to me than I would have if I'd studied the manual. The group was small, with varying skill levels and the instructor was very patient and clear with her instructions. The whole course is practical with plenty of practice time, immediate feedback on your photos taken and learning as you go. We covered Federation Square and areas of the Botanical Gardens so the walking is not extensive. I'd recommend it and would do another.

Clear explanations and examples made it easy to put what we had learnt into place. Small group size meant everybody had a turn, asking questions & reviewing their work.

This was a great 3 hour beginners photography course. We met at Federation Square and walked to the Shrine of Remembrance and Botanic Gardens. Steph was a friendly, knowledgeable teacher who ensured we all understood the terminology/technique which she had just covered. She would introduce a technique and then set us on a little challenge to practice what we had just learnt. I found it a great opportunity not only to improve my photography skills but to meet 5 other friendly people who shared the same interest. I would highly recommend this course!

As we all know there are so many photo courses that we can attend it is always hard to know which one to attend.
I found the hands on learning suited my needs ( no classroom ) plus the small group size was most welcome.
We were all able to learn about our cameras ( any Camera ) and review settings and put into place what we were learning it was a easy lesson and most enjoyable.
At the same time I felt i got value for my money and not over loaded with too much information that you go away feeling overwhelmed.
Keep up the good work photoh team.

I recently did the beginner's Photoh tour with Stephanie Doran. It was a a great learning experience. Stephanie was a very good teacher who was able to accommodate different cameras and levels of experience. I learned a lot more about my camera controls and shooting options. We went from Federation Square through the Botanic gardens to Shrine of Remembrance. Stephanie had selected different locations along the way to teach a concept that fitted the spot.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about their camera and its controls. I am looking forward to trying the night shooting course when i am next in Melbourne.
