Had an awesome day at Luna Park. Was a little chilly and windy but that didn't detract from the amazing atmosphere. Great for a full day out with lots of activities. First stop was to buy a Unlimited pass (I'm a CFA member and got discount which they were very happy to accommodate) and then straight after was the Great... More

The park closes on Friday. Didn't know it was close on friday. Only knew it when we are on the way. However still managed to snap some pictures outside the park with the clown entrance. There are also other people outside snapping away.

Full day with the kids. A little run down, but safe as far as I could tell. It's not as fancy or as big as some of the usual theme parks, but is family friendly. Really friendly staff. We stayed late with my elder kid (was 9 at the time) and the staff let us ride all the way and... More

We have been here a few times and it really is great for the kids. There are one or two decent rides for the adults but not great. Given the size of the place (it is quite small), it is ok for an hour or two. It is not that cheap and it is worth buying the arm bands to... More

Beautiful facade and buildings but in this day and age well passed its used by date . If you have young children under 13 then I think Luna park will suit . It's a great step back in time for a amusement park and holds a lot of nostalgia . It's free to walk around and have a look inside... More

I took my daughter there as a surprise. She had an absolute ball. But I'd walk around first prior to buying tickets. We had an all access ticket each but hardly went on any rides. We spent a lot of time on the Merry go round and on the carnival games. After asking my daughter, she loved the ghost train... More

Go on a day when the weather isnt great as it keeps the crowds away. A few rides and games to play but really not much for the little kids. Pricey!

Luna Park is pretty expensive for how small it is. There is not a lot of rides and a wristband costs around 45$ or so. A single ride is about 10$. So it is worth it to just buy the wristband and spend the whole afternoon there. The line for the rollercoaster took almost an hour. Do not expect a... More

It's amazing to see a fun park built in 1912 still packing people in. The roller coaster is a classic icon worth seeing to watch the brake man in action.

Staying in St. Kilda

Neighborhood Profile
St. Kilda
St. Kilda is an iconic beachside suburb and one of the most culturally and economically diverse of Melbourne’s neighborhoods. It is a traditional haven for musicians, artists and writers, drawn to the European ambience and fresh ocean breezes. At night, it can have an edgier side, but by day, it features a relaxed vibe – the market stalls, boutiques and outdoor bars display St. Kilda’s easygoing attitude. Ocean winds blow from Port Phillip Bay and waves lap onto its long and mostly deserted beaches. Rides whir at the world’s oldest operational Luna Park. On a lazy weekend morning, bikers cruise along Acland Street, showing off their motorcycles. But the late morning crowds are too busy at brunch to notice. St. Kilda is a perfect place to relax after a night out with friends.
