This was a wonderful experience, I enjoyed a trip down the Yarra with my mother and my husband on a lovely sunny day. Before we left the mooring we were treated to a talk about the Yarra, and the surrounding area by a very knowledge...More

There seem to be two ferry boats being reviewed here and as I can’t see a separate page for the smaller boat, shall put it here! We booked the ferry trip with a lovely old man selling the tickets. We were unaware of the same...More

Well worth a cruise out to Williamstown Bay to escape the heat of a February visit to Melbourne. Williamstown is small and not much to really do apart from have fish and chips and have a quick look around the main street.

We took the boat ride to Williamstown and were delighted by the small town. Make sure to walk the 12 or so blocks to the beach for a great view of the ocean. Bring sunscreen for the trip!

We use this ferry service a lot being local. The boats are better and there's usually more outside seating. It's such a relaxing way to take 45 minutes to get from Willi to the city. Normally you get great service all the way. Landside the...More

Recommend this particular provider - option to sit outside or in, preferred the first - enjoying the views and fresh air! Great way to see the River and how busy it is! Not long enough stop in Williamstown day we went, aware we could have...More

There is a choice of cruises between Melbourne Riverside and Williamstown, but this one is probably the best, and certainly the cheapest. There is a large open area at the rear of the boat so you can get good photos without the need to take...More

The actual trip down the river, through the harbour and docks, to Williamstown allows interesting perspectives on Melbourne in relation to the bay but this is a very basic way to make the trip. The seating on the deck consists of rows of older plastic...More

A fun, relaxed and easy going trip to and back from Williamstown, taking in all the city and port views. This ferry has more open air seating than others we saw at Southgate, which allowed us to enjoy the sunny afternoon and sea breeze without...More

We arrived at Reception point at 4.20pm for advertised 4.30pm ferry. When the boat eventually arrived, 30 minutes late, we were told that the sailing had been cancelled. The skipper pointed to the unclear information left on the desk on the jetty and proceeded to...More

We didn't book the cruise, there is a man set up with a little tent beside the boat where you can buy your ticket directly, would suggest cash. You board the boat from the South Bank side of the River, not far from... More
