Took this tour on Tuesday March 10, 2020. Pick up from my hotel just outside the CBD, driver was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the day. The visit to the Yarra dairy was great addition to the 4 great wineries. Lunch at Rochford was lovely. Would do this tour again.

We were picked up from the agreed place at the appointed time. Our guide was professional and knew a lot about Yarra Valley wineries and activities. The whole tour was organized just fine. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in wine and to those who are not so

We booked this tour on recommendation but it wasn’t great. First vineyard was lovely, with a very informative leader. Second was Chandon, where I was expecting a tour .. we saw the cellars, but I wanted a tour round the vineyard itself with some detail about the viticulture. Our

Hello Juliefromsurrey, We are disappointed to hear you didn't enjoy your wine tour on the weekend. Chandon is a beautiful venue and obviously very popular and, as a tour group, we are granted exclusive access to the Riddling Hall (what you refer to as the cellar) which is part of the overall processing area. I'm not sure how many winery tours you have been on but nobody is allowed to walk through the vineyards for several reasons including the risk of phylloxera which kills vines. As a tour we have a schedule to maintain and at times when people are running late and lunches are being made/served, the tastings have a tight timeframe to avoid food sitting on the tables going cold. We always allow time for people to return to Cellar Door for additional tasting time if they wish. Regarding the wine at lunch, we used to supply a glass of wine with lunch and found the majority of people didn't want it and it sat wasted on the table. Considering the 3 wine tastings before lunch is served, people often just want water or tea/coffee etc. So we reduced our ticket price and offered people to option to purchase their own if they wish. We understand that you were not thrilled with the wines at the last stop and we will be contacting them to determine if this is something we can change for the future. The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie is a large popular chocolate factory and as such is often crowded but it does have a huge range of chocolate creations that others have been delighted with, so unfortunately we can't please everyone. Hopefully your next tour will meet your expectations. Thanks for your feedback.

We were picked up at the collection point by a bus that carries 18 people. It was not at all comfortable, as we are both over 5'10. During the hour drive to Yarra, there was no commentary at all, just the local radio station. In fact, there was very little commentary during

Hello flybynight, We are disappointed to receive your negative review and have since invetigated the details in your review with our guide and others. The vehicle you travelled on was a 2 year old Mercedes Benz - we are very surprised that you thought it was uncomfortable as we have spent a considerable amount upgrading our fleet. Our guide confirms there was definitely commentary during the tour and before each venue, the radio is on between segments of the tour but certainly not all day! At one point, she was even interrupted during her explanation and asked to turn the radio up! Our guide did mention that a group of 4 were late to the tour, and then at each stop thereafter, and were complaining throughout the day, and wanting to hold up the rest of the people on tour for a cigarette. Their arrogance and disregard for the rest of the group and the schedule was noted and commented on by a number of passengers. A few of these who complimented our guide on her handling of the situation. It is interesting that you have complained about just about every aspect of this tour, but that this situation was not mentioned in the review, and this makes us suspicious that this complaint is in fact by one of the group of 4. Regarding the itinerary and purchases, there were wine purchases made at Chandon, and St Huberts. There were wine purchases over lunch at Rochford. We don't supply water on the buses as this is readily available at each and every stop we visit. Not very environmental to have thousands of plastic bottles purchased when not necessary! We hope you have a better tour next time. A disappointed YVWTT.
