This is my 2nd time engaging Chris Wombat from Wild Wombat Escape Tours that never disappointed us. From his good driving skill, funny jokes, very knowledgeable on this trip that made our trip very enjoyable. He drove us to see wildlife animals eg Koala and Kangaroos at some unexpected places. Such a memory trip. He prepared such a healthy alfresco lunch for us. 5stars for Chris Wombat. You may contact if you like to engage him for day tours in Melbourne . His contact is +61400144878

We were lucky that the weather held up and that helped us have a really great road trip! The lunch that Chris prepared for the group in the middle of the outdoors - very special indeed! Chris also shared a lot of information (& jokes) with group that was appropriate and timely! The clear weather truly made us appreciate the 12 Apostles and London bridge sites.... I initially was worried about the 12 hour day but it went by fast and was memorable! Highly recommended!

I booked Chris' tour based on all the five star reviews. We had a small group the day we went, so there wasn't a lot of waiting around for a bus full of people to get back to the bus from stops (some are always late). Since that cut down on waiting time, I was hoping for a few more stops at the beginning of the Great Ocean Road to see some rocky coastline, but we kind of zoomed past it to get to the main event at the end with the Twelve Apostles and Port Campbell coast. That being said, the scenery at the end was gorgeous and the ride was pleasant and the bus was comfortable. Chris gives you a good mix of commentary, quiet time, and jokes throughout the ride. He also puts out a tasty lunch which cuts down on time waiting in restaurants, which I liked. Chris is absolutely brilliant at spotting animals in the wild. We saw a field full of kangaroos, a wild peacock crossing the road, parrots, and multiple koalas in the trees that I have no idea how he can spot them while driving. Because it was a small group, he was also able to fulfill our request for a specific picture on the road, which was great. Chris will give you a nice tour, spot the wildlife, and show you great scenery.

This was a great tour with a mix of the scenic coastal views and wild animals. It was a long day (a good 12 hours), but our guide Chris Wombat is a funny man with no shortage of jokes and local knowledge which made our lengthy trip enjoyable. The 12 Apostles and costal views were impressive, but what I most appreciated was the effort Chris made for us see the wild animals such as the koalas and kangaroos. He's a keen animal spotter, and would make sure we could get a close-up view by stopping the van throughout the trip. There's no guarantee to spot these wild animals, so the effort he made was much appreciated. If there is an area for improvement, the van could get dry and stuffy at times, so it would be great if the windows could be opened more often for better air circulation. It would also be nice if we had an opportunity to walk around the forests we drove through. Other then that, it was a great tour and would recommend it, especially if you want a taste of nature and wildlife while traveling in Melbourne.

We did the reverse Great Ocean Road tour with our amazing tour guide Chris Wombat! WOMBAT!! He was super friendly and funny. Always trying to give us an unique experience. He tried his best to make us watch kangaroos, koalas and whales and we did it! So lovely! He always recommended the best options and we will definitely recommend it. The bus was comfortable and it was a small group so perfect because we didn’t have to wait for a lot of people. Thank you Chris!!! Regards from the Costa Ricans!
