The stadium is an easy walk over the footbridge from Southern Cross station. It is better than the MCG IMO because of the sliding roof and facilities. Lots of toilets is good. AFL and concerts abound during the season. Next big concert is Coldplay and that will pack it out next month. My only negative is if you sitting on... More

Etihad Stadium is at the bottom of Bourke Street, Melbourne. It's main claim to fame is that it is one of only two stadiums where AFL football is played in Melbourne, the other one being the MCG.. Etihad Stadium is easy to get to, just walk over the pedestrian bridge from Southern Cross Station. It's a new multipurpose stadium and... More

Brilliant sliding roof, prefect in winter and rainy days. So easy to get to by public transport or car. Plenty of car parks in area and also underneath the stadium. Good restaurants and bars. It's a bit dearer than the MCG. The big screens are very good. The audio is good, but the management running the entertainment believe everybody is... More

The Etihad stadium offers a great atmosphere no mattef if its sport or a concert you are there for. It has first class facilities. The venues pricing in the public areas is a little expensive but the bars offer views down on to the playing area. At the bottom of Bourke St its a comfortable 25 minute walk from the... More

Etihiad Stadium has one huge bonus, it has a roof, so no matter what the weather it like outside, it's bone dry inside. With free wifi and comfortable seating this is by fat my favourite sporting venue. It's located within walking distance of the CBD and trains and buses are a short walk away

I visit this stadium on a semi regular basis. As the old saying goes - familiarity breeds contempt. That being the case i will overlook the common gripes about the quality and price of the food and drinks (i think the same complaints can be made about all places of this type). This is actually a very good multi-purpose stadium... More
