Description:

Port Campbell National Park is world famous for its extraordinary...

Port Campbell National Park is world famous for its extraordinary collection of wave-sculpted rock formations and the Twelve Apostles. Loch Ard Gorge, site of the 19th century shipwreck 'Loch Ard', as well as the Island Archway and London Bridge are other highlights. The Island Archway collapsed in 2009, highlighting the fragile and ever-changing nature of Victoria's coastline. Start your visit by heading to the Twelve Apostles Kiosk and Carpark before taking the walk to view the amazing Twelve Apostles coastline. The site offers kiosk, information, shelter and toilets. Walk the short distance (500m) through a tunnel under the Great Ocean Road to various lookouts offering expansive, breathtaking views. From the Twelve Apostles carpark there is also an easy 2.2km return walk to Gibson Steps Lookout. The lookout is above the beach with excellent views East and West. Port Campbell National Park lies between Princetown and Peterborough, 285 km west of Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road (4-5 hours drive), and 240 km from Melbourne via Colac.

Marvellous indeed

It was a treat to come to this place. The three-hour drive was all worth it because of the oceans on the side and the apostles. Overall, a must visit place!

The location it's little bit far away from Melbourne city. It's in great ocean road about 2hours from the city. This is where you can see the limestone stack. It's really wonderful feeling to be able in there.

Pick a good time to go weather wise as you need to get out and look a lot we went in April but the queues can be long so bet the buses if travelling by car.

The views of the surf and rock formations are stunning and worth the lengthy drive from Melbourne. There is a nice hike down the coast if you have time.

It's a very beautiful trip with much look outs over the see and the beautiful coast. You can even make a beautiful helicoptertrip over the coast near the twelve apostels. The price for this trip is 150 AUD.

Port Campbell National Park is worth more than a day tour from Melbourne. We stayed in Port Campbell (probably the only town in the area that has accommodations available) The best views are in the early in the morning or later in the afternoon with the sunset. Locations are stunning, well marked and all attractions and car parkings are free!... More

If you are driving yourself here, come by early in the morning before 8 am, and you will have this magical scenery all to yourself -- plus a lot of sun and great photo ops. If not, expect lots of crowds in the afternoons -- and clouds. Regardless, it is worth a look. Best advice is to stay in Port... More

Port Campbell National Park is approx 2 and a Half hours out of the city of Melbourne. The actual drive there is quite unique thru the Great Ocean Road as its breathtaking , if you hiring a car you need to be extra careful , as it is a winding road on the side of the Ocean. Better to go... More
